Gibson, a lawyer for Florida GOP, says this is in violation of\u00a0section 381.00316 of the Florida Statutes, which states, in part, that a business entity \u201cmay not require patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-covid-19\">COVID-19<\/a> vaccination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe ask that you immediately investigate WESH-2\u2019s COVID policy, and if it is found to be in violation of Florida law, take appropriate action,\u201d Gibson said in a letter\u00a0to Florida Department of Health General Counsel\u00a0John Wilson (<a href=\"https:\/\/assets.nationbuilder.com\/floridagop\/pages\/2934\/attachments\/original\/1663263291\/2022-09-15_Complaint_to_DOH.pdf?1663263291\">pdf<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The Republican candidate for Florida\u2019s district nine and his opponent were invited by WESH-2,\u00a0a local television station located in Central Florida and owned by Hearst Television, to take part in a congressional candidate debate at its Winter Park television studios to take place on Sept. 8.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs part of our commitment to election coverage, WESH 2 has hosted a debate series during the primary and general election cycles for years,\u201d WESH-2 said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wesh.com\/article\/wesh-2-scotty-moore-response\/41122071\">statement<\/a> on Sept. 8.<\/p>\n<p> Debate Cancelled Over Vaccination Status <\/p>\n<p>Days after inviting the candidates, WESH-2 provided Moore\u2019s campaign with its parent company\u2019s COVID-19 vaccination policy, according to Gibson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn September 8, Mr. Moore and his campaign staff arrived at the WESH-2 Winter Park television studios.
