He was acquitted on three additional charges. The former producer is still facing additional charges of rape and other sex crimes related to accusations from five women in L.A. County and is expected to stand trial again in October. He is currently being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>The judge noted how the former producer had already been to see the prison dentist, but Weinstein\u2019s lawyer argued that Weinstein was seeking treatment beyond just pulling out the teeth or continuing to let them rot, which is what was offered there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m in pain every day. I have cavities and I can\u2019t eat because I\u2019m missing teeth,\u201d the former Hollywood executive explained. Weinstein said he wants a bridge or dental implants so he can appear \u201cpresentable\u201d in the future, especially during his appeal.<\/p>\n<p>Weinstein\u2019s lawyer Mark Werksman said his client would look \u201cridiculous\u201d and \u201clike a caricature\u201d if the molars were removed and not replaced.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Weinstein was just granted an appeal for the prior conviction in New York, which is another reason he\u2019s trying to get his teeth fixed to look presentable in court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am so grateful to my attorneys for working hard and smart on this,\u201d Weinstein said in a statement to ABC News after getting his appeal granted, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/harvey-weinstein-granted-appeal-in-rape-conviction-by-new-york-judge\">The Daily Wire<\/a>. \u201cTheir hard work will help me prove my innocence in the end. I look forward to this opportunity to be heard by The New York Court of Appeals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In March, Weinstein described himself as a \u201cmodel inmate\u201d after getting caught with Milk Duds in his jail cell.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was an innocent misunderstanding.\u201d he said of having the contraband candy. \u201cIt will not happen again.
