They tell our kids that we\u2019ve lied to them &#038; no one food is better for them than another food (oppressive food hierarchy). <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lausdHRDE?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@lausdHRDE<\/a> is actively working to undermine parents &#038; hurt kids. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LAUSDSup?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LAUSDSup<\/a> do u know? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eWVy0jyP9Y\">pic.twitter.com\/eWVy0jyP9Y<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 LA Parent Union \u2744\ufe0f\ud83d\ude22 (@UTLAUncensored) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UTLAUncensored\/status\/1569179938334601217?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 12, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The L.A. Parent Union drew attention to the presentation. The Union alleged that \u2018food choice\u2019 is the result of a false standard of health. Nutritionist, Kera Nyemb-Diop, and influencer Blair Imani, are featured in the video. The two ladies encouraged students to eat whatever they want as no nutritional choice is healthier than another.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cDiet culture, fatphobia and systems of oppression have created false hierarchies of food, it shows up everywhere,\u201d Nyemb-Diop said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cFor instance, harmful thought patterns (include) like earning food though exercising or\u00a0 that dessert is the reward for the \u201cpunishment\u201d of eating vegetables,\u201d Imani said. \u201cRemember that you do not need to earn food.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The video\u2019s content directly opposes the CDC\u2019s dietary suggestions.
