Vance are embroiled in a tight race to replace retiring Republican Sen. Rob Portman.<\/p>\n<p>Though voting records show that Ryan has voted with President Joe Biden 100 percent of the time, the 10-term Congressman is running as a populist and hopes to attract crossover voters in a state Trump won by eight points in 2016 and 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m one of the most bipartisan members of Congress. The last two congresses I have been in the top 10 percent of most bipartisan. I want to work across the aisle,\u201d Ryan told MSNBC.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/rep-tim-ryan-2-1200x798-1200x798-1.jpg\"><\/a> Rep. (Duane Prokop\/Getty Images for Wellness Your Way Festival) <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocrats aren\u2019t right on everything,\u201d Ryan explained, adding that there are some Republicans he is not interested in working with to fix \u201cbroken systems\u201d and move away from the current \u201cage of stupidity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome of those answers will come from Republicans, not the extremists that we\u2019re dealing with every single day,\u201d Ryan said. \u201cWe\u2019ve got to kill and confront that movement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important to work with \u201cnormal, mainstream Republicans,\u201d Ryan added.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0USA Today\/Ohio-Suffolk University poll published\u00a0earlier this week showed that 47 percent of voters in Ohio would cast their ballot for Ryan if the election were held today, while 46 percent said they would vote for Vance.<\/p>\n<p>Six percent were undecided in a survey with a 4.4 percent margin of error.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan has distanced himself from Biden<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While calling for bipartisanship and touting that he is \u201cone of the most bipartisan members of Congress,\u201d Ohio Democratic Rep. and U.S. Senate candidate Tim Ryan also implored Democrats to \u201ckill and confront\u201d the \u201cextremist\u201d Republican movement in a Sept. 13 MSNBC interview.
