Mazie Hirono called for literal violence against pro-lifers from the Senate floor on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe word hypocrites, it doesn\u2019t even go far enough to call them out on what they\u2019re doing. This is an outright attack on women in this country. That is how I see it. That is how, more and more women and those who support our right to make decisions about our own bodies, that is how we see it. And why? Because that\u2019s what\u2019s happening,\u201d Hirono said. \u201cThis is a, literally, call to arms in our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><\/figure>\n<p>The real attacks following the Supreme Court\u2019s <em>Dobbs v. Jackson<\/em> decision, of course, came from the left and radical abortion activists who firebombed and vandalized dozens of pregnancy centers and churches. <\/p>\n<p>But to Hirono, who <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/maziehirono\/status\/1540001403409670145\">smeared<\/a> the Supreme Court as \u201cextreme right wing\u201d this past summer and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/maziehirono\/status\/1542913226136080385?s=20&amp;t=SQMNt9_LeLwywBrufizTEQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">called for the end of the filibuster<\/a> to codify <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, Democrats have every reason to write off Republicans\u2019 constitutional right to promote an abortion ban as \u201cpandering to their extreme MAGA base.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis November, people are going to have a choice,\u201d Hirono <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=_bgs9gWWYEw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cDo you want to let extreme MAGA Republicans tell you what you can and can\u2019t do with your own body or do you want to hold these politicians accountable for pushing their far-right extreme agenda?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hirono now joins the ranks of radical Democrat politicians such as <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/25\/heres-why-democrats-have-waged-war-on-pregnancy-centers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sen. Elizabeth Warren<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/courts\/aoc-calls-supreme-court-illegitimate-tells-abortion-advocates-to-escalate-protests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez<\/a> who have called for escalation against pregnancy centers and anyone who takes up the mantle of protecting unborn life. <\/p>\n<p>Despite Attorney General Merrick Garland\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/11\/attorney-general-merrick-garland-admits-he-personally-approved-fbi-raid-on-trumps-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">empty promises to uphold the rule of law<\/a> and FBI Director Christopher Wray\u2019s insistence that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/12\/christopher-wray-torched-on-twitter-for-scolding-those-who-dare-question-fbi-credibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">violence \u201cis not the answer,\u201d<\/a> the chances that the Department of Justice and FBI will overlook Hirono\u2019s literal call for violence against pro-lifers, just like they failed to address the dozens of attacks on pro-life organizations, are very high. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
