Chicago residents can <a href=\"https:\/\/news.wttw.com\/2022\/07\/01\/shootings-homicides-down-year-chicago-still-pace-top-600-killings-2022-police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expect hundreds more killings<\/a> before the end of the year. In California, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2022\/09\/05\/smash-and-grab-robbers-steal-80000-of-jewelry-from-business-in-moreno-valley-market\/\">smash<\/a>-and-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/local\/cardenas-markets-smash-and-grab-robberies-jewelry-supermarket\/2847418\/\">grab<\/a> robberies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/sanfrancisco\/news\/teens-arrested-in-series-of-san-francisco-smash-and-grab-robberies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">are the new normal<\/a>, while the number of break-ins and thefts in Las Vegas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.8newsnow.com\/news\/local-news\/northwest-valley-residents-see-uptick-in-crime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">are on the up<\/a>, embracing a whole new identity of what it means to be \u201cSin City.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>As police agencies shrink amid <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/liberal-chicago-city-councilmember-decries-100027951.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">low funding and community support<\/a> while the southern border remains wide open for <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/19\/23-suspected-terrorists-were-stopped-on-the-southern-border-in-2021-how-many-werent\/\">terrorists<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/videos\/cartel-country-the-untold-story-of-americas-black-market-on-the-border-full-documentary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cartels<\/a>, cities famous for their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/democrat-run-tourist-town-north-carolina-sees-violent-crime-spike-as-police-dwindle-perfect-storm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tourism and sightseeing<\/a> have now been rendered unsafe.<\/p>\n<p>This rise in violence could impact how voters cast their ballots in key battleground states this November, especially since Democrats have made defunding police and affordable bail for violent criminals central to their platforms.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not hard for Americans to see that many of these crime waves are exacerbated by the lax criminal policies adopted by blue bureaucrats. Even polls, often manipulated by their corporate sponsors to reinforce pre-determined narratives, show that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipsos.com\/en-us\/news-polls\/August-2022-ABC-news-poll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">voters trust Republicans<\/a> far more than Democrats to address their top concerns about the economy, inflation, and rising crime. According to an ABC News\/Ipsos survey out last month, 32 percent of U.S. adults said Republicans would do a better job at handling crime, while only 21 percent said the same of Democrats. Thirty-five percent held no faith in either.<\/p>\n<p>Voters have good reason, however, to trust Republicans when it comes to cleaning up crime in their neighborhoods when considering Democrats created the crisis in their communities today. <\/p>\n<h2>Democrat Legislatures Bring \u2018The Purge\u2019 From Hollywood Fantasy To Main Street Reality<\/h2>\n<p>The nation\u2019s rising crime is no spontaneous trend happening by coincidence. The crime surge is a direct consequence of Democrat-controlled legislatures passing bill after bill to enable criminal behavior with heavier restrictions on police and lower penalties for delinquents. <\/p>\n<p>In Washington, state Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nwnewsnetwork.org\/2022-05-26\/see-ya-washington-police-say-drivers-arent-stopping-for-them-cite-pursuit-restrictions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">barred<\/a> high-speed pursuits except under extremely limited circumstances, such as suspicion of impaired driving or probable cause that the culprit is an escaped fugitive or was involved in a violent crime. The law was passed last year as part of a police reform package in the aftermath of George Floyd\u2019s death the year prior.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince January of this year, more than 900 drivers have failed to stop for a Washington State Patrol trooper trying to pull them over,\u201d the Northwest News Network reported in May. \u201cThe patrol and other police agencies around the state say they\u2019ve never seen such blatant disregard for their lights and sirens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.king5.com\/article\/news\/local\/violent-crime-washington-state-police-officers-2021-crime-report\/281-cda35c7f-7e43-47d3-85c1-91c63a0c7dab#:~:text=According%20to%20the%20report%2C%20violent,47%25%20increase%20the%20year%20before.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According<\/a> to the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs, this summer, violent crime saw a more than 12 percent spike in 2021 from 2020, including 325 murders. The state lost nearly 500 officers at the same time. <\/p>\n<p>In neighboring Oregon, state policymakers <a href=\"https:\/\/katu.com\/news\/katu-investigates\/oregon-chief-justice-order-outlines-major-changes-coming-to-pretrial-release-statewide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eliminated <\/a>cash bail requirements for a series of offenses and <a href=\"https:\/\/olis.oregonlegislature.gov\/liz\/2019R1\/Measures\/Overview\/SB1008\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reduced<\/a> juvenile sentences. The state ranks <a href=\"https:\/\/journalrecord.com\/2022\/09\/06\/oklahoma-gets-no-9-ranking-for-vehicle-theft\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">5th in the nation for<\/a> carjackings, while Portland, Oregon\u2019s largest city, saw a more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oregonlive.com\/crime\/2022\/07\/gang-violence-drives-surging-portland-homicide-rate-from-early-2019-to-mid-2021-study-finds.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">200 percent murder spike<\/a> last year from 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Further south in Nevada, Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/insidenorthernnevada.com\/MobileContent\/NEWS\/NEWS-Headlines\/Article\/New-law-prevents-arrest-on-most-misdemeanors\/36\/348\/48561\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">passed<\/a> legislation to prohibit officers from arresting those charged with non-violent misdemeanors with few exceptions. Passed in September, the law became effective in October. Residents and businesses, including enterprises on the Las Vegas strip, are now suffering a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/crime\/las-vegas-valley-property-crimes-rise-including-strip-2623027\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sharp rise<\/a> in property crime, which is up 15 percent from August last year.<\/p>\n<p>Colorado Democrats passed a law in 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpr.org\/2021\/08\/03\/its-early-but-colorados-police-reform-efforts-have-already-resulted-in-charges-for-officers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mandating<\/a> police officers to intervene in certain circumstances related to colleague misbehavior with criminal consequences if they don\u2019t. The law has made it easier to sue police officers directly while adding new restrictions in a blow to officer morale. Colorado has the third highest crime rate in the nation and leads in U.S. car thefts, with 661 per 100,000 vehicles stolen last year. <\/p>\n<p>In Minnesota, Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.duluthnewstribune.com\/news\/minnesota\/minnesota-senate-house-will-have-to-negotiate-on-competing-visions-for-public-safety\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rejected<\/a> Republicans\u2019 $200 million public safety package to invest in recruiting and retaining more police officers with resources to crack down on carjackings and repeat offenders. Instead, Democrats opted for a bill to provide police body cameras and embrace a \u201ccommunity-centered\u201d approach to violent crime as opposed to stiffer penalties. <\/p>\n<p>According to Neighborhood Scout, \u201cMinneapolis has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes \u2013 from the smallest towns to the very largest cities.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Democrat Politicians Can\u2019t Escape Their Own Crime Wave<\/h2>\n<p>Even Democrat politicians have not escaped the crime wave sweeping their neighborhoods. Last week, Congresswoman Karen Bass, who is running for Los Angeles mayor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/video\/los-angeles-democratic-mayoral-candidate-213509879.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> her home was burglarized and two guns were stolen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLAPD was called, and I appreciate their assistance. At this time, it appears that only two firearms, despite being safely and securely stored, were stolen,\u201d the Bass campaign said in a statement. \u201cCash, electronics, and other valuables were not. It\u2019s unnerving and, unfortunately, it\u2019s something that far too many Angelenos have faced.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/los-angeles-crime-spike-progressive-prosecuting-movement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According<\/a> to Fox News, data in April showed L.A. robberies up nearly 19 percent from last year, with car thefts up 40 percent, violent crime up more than 7 percent, and shootings up nearly 70 percent. <\/p>\n<p>L.A. election officials, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/08\/16\/us\/gascon-recall-district-attorney-los-angeles.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">refused<\/a> to place a referendum for the county\u2019s leftist top prosecutor on the ballot this summer, claiming nearly 200,000 of the more than 715,000 signatures gathered were invalid. Only 566,857 were needed to force a recall. District Attorney George Gascon, who has frustrated residents with leniency for juveniles and refusal to pursue sentencing enhancements, will continue to serve through 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In Philadelphia and Chicago, two democrats, a congresswoman and a state senator who support left-wing criminal justice reform were also each <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10337775\/Democratic-Rep-Mary-Gay-Scanlon-CARJACKED-Philadelphia-phone-purse-ID-stolen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">carjacked<\/a> last year. In July, Democrat Rep. Pramila Jayapal was <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/14\/man-arrested-for-death-threats-outside-home-of-congresswoman-who-objected-to-scotus-security-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">threatened<\/a> by a man outside her Washington home. <\/p>\n<h2>Democrats Double Down<\/h2>\n<p>Instead of working to address voters\u2019 concerns about crime in their communities, Democrats are doubling down on these soft-on-crime, defund the police policies, the candidates that parrot them, and siccing the FBI on the former president. <\/p>\n<p>Just last week, President Joe Biden praised Wisconsin Democrat Senate nominee Mandela Barnes, who has a long history of calls for defunding the police, ending cash bail, and a vocal desire to abolish ICE in <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/01\/democrat-running-to-unseat-ron-johnson-labeled-trump-a-russian-spy-called-to-free-palestine-in-extreme-tweets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tweets<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"3Ji81eU5eN6za8mcD0EkyCaYuqCEDBAGFz4ZW3ocIdGOZKsWtwhT0Mj7jbNPmVPkQSYv5nMfoBUxHgTs4H6bQhAROVxq7Sf2\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Biden praises Wisconsin Democrat Senate candidate Mandela Barnes, who wants to eliminate cash bail, abolish ICE, defund the police, slash corrections budgets, and allow inmates to vote. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mio1HeaJ8q\">pic.twitter.com\/mio1HeaJ8q<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1566844528358727680?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 5, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Barnes joins a whole host of Democrat candidates, including Sens. Raphael Warnock and Mark Kelly who have shown their contempt for keeping voters safe by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.senate.gov\/legislative\/LIS\/roll_call_votes\/vote1172\/vote_117_2_00304.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">voting<\/a> against Republican amendments designed to keep crime at bay, including increasing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/117\/crec\/2022\/08\/06\/168\/133\/CREC-2022-08-06-pt1-PgS4165-3.pdf#page=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">funding for law enforcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In former Chief Justice of North Carolina Cheri Beasley\u2019s case, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carolinajournal.com\/opinion\/pulling-one-ad-wont-fix-beasleys-crime-problem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ruled against the American people<\/a> by letting child predators off the hook and murderers scheduled for the death penalty with lesser punishment. <\/p>\n<p>In Pennsylvania, where voters say the economy, inflation, and crime, are their top issues, Democratic Senate nominee and current Lt. Gov. John Fetterman said he wants to cut the prison population by a third. He also recently endorsed Philadelphia\u2019s District Attorney Larry Krasner, who Pennsylvania Republicans threatened to impeach over his failure to properly address violent crime and who lawmakers on both sides of the aisle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.witf.org\/2022\/09\/14\/pennsylvania-state-house-votes-to-hold-philly-da-larry-krasner-in-contempt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">agreed to hold in contempt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Republicans led by Sen. Marsha Blackburn, plan to introduce new legislation aimed at reinforcing the need for rule of law on U.S. streets. Blackburn said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/hgd4uutqadtur27\/BLACKBURN%20NR%20SEGMENT%20091422.mp4?dl=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tv appearance<\/a> on Wednesday that includes \u201cgrants for law enforcement, more resources for law enforcement, for fighting some of these drug cases, fentanyl that get into the hands of gangs and cause additional problems in the cities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The legislative move comes shortly after two fatal crimes in her home state of Tennessee, including the brutal murder of a mother on a jog and the deaths of four people at the hands of a deranged shooter who <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/08\/google-keeps-truth-social-banned-from-app-store-over-content-moderation-while-facebook-instagram-broadcast-shooting-spree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">live-streamed his killing spree<\/a>, drew the attention of the country. Both of the alleged murderers were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/memphis-livestream-massacre-suspect-ezekiel-kelly-freed-after-plea-deal-prior-shooting-indictment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">career criminals who were let out of prison early<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need tough-on-crime prosecutors, DAs.
