During a news conference Wednesday, Tedros Ghebreyesus noted the number of weekly reported deaths from COVID-19 last week was the lowest since March 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Ghebreyesus says the end of the pandemic is in sight although people should still remain cautious of the virus and other diseases, including monkeypox.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cMeanwhile, the downward trend in the global monkeypox outbreak is continuing,\u201d he noted. \u201cBut as with COVID-19, this is not the time to relax or let down our guard.
