The other two months with two installments are April and December. An <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/pubs\/EN-05-10031-2022.pdf\">SSA schedule shows<\/a> eligible SSI recipients receive 12 payments this year. Three months \u2014 January, May, and October \u2014 do not have any payments scheduled. <\/p>\n<p>This year, eligible couples will receive two payments of $1,261 for the month of September. Essential people, those who live with a person receiving SSI and provide necessary care, will receive two payments of $421 to be paid out on the same days. <\/p>\n<p>SSI is a federal income supplement program &#8220;funded by general tax revenues (not Social Security taxes),&#8221; <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/ssi\/\">according to its government website<\/a>. SSI &#8220;is designed to help aged, blind, and disabled people, who have little or no income,&#8221; and it &#8220;provides cash to meet basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter,&#8221; per a description on the site. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Analysts expect Social Security payments will likely rise in 2023 due to growing inflation rates, per <i><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wwlp.com\/news\/analysts-project-big-increase-to-social-security-payments-in-2023-but-there-might-be-a-downside\/\">Nexstar Media Wire<\/a><\/i>.
