But it is worth noting that America\u2019s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood, is not going anywhere. Jackson\u00a0<\/em>decision in June,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politifact.com\/factchecks\/2022\/jul\/05\/facebook-posts\/no-planned-parenthood-clinics-have-closed-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">no\u00a0Planned Parenthood\u00a0locations have closed<\/a>. Their evolving business still relates to sex, but not always in ways you might think.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood has found something besides abortion to sell. Few people realize that, nationally, \u201cPlanned Parenthood is the second largest provider of hormone therapy\u201d for \u201ctransgender and gender non-conforming patients,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/db\/88\/db881467-f6e5-47a3-a6a3-2c7d3ea545e0\/gac2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">it reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Even in states that have banned all or most abortions, Planned Parenthood affiliates\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2022\/08\/14\/1115875421\/gender-affirming-care-abortion-clinics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">are fighting to stay open<\/a>\u00a0under the banner of \u201cgender-affirming care.\u201d A term unheard of by most people as recently as a few months ago, \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d has become the umbrella term for addressing gender dysphoria, especially in children and young teens, through surgery, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones. It is better thought of as\u00a0profitable, appearance-altering,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC5908424\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">experimental<\/a>\u00a0protocols,\u00a0with very little oversight or regulation, though sometimes it is funded by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/florida-bans-medicaid-gender-affirming-treatments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">taxpayers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Activists push\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.city-journal.org%2Fmajor-flaws-in-new-study-on-pediatric-gender-transition%3Fwallit_nosession%3D1&amp;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7C25667298bab2435fb19308da8af84598%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637975096187624095%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=ULVYWgGyz6J5p1LW0oLOE%2BzqsLk7OxJ%2F1%2B8eITBm%2FvE%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flawed studies<\/a>\u00a0to claim that if a youth with gender dysphoria is not fully supported in \u201ctransitioning,\u201d he or she is at increased risk of suicide.<\/p>\n<h2>Profiting off Abusing Kids<\/h2>\n<p>Planned Parenthood\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aul.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/AUL-Unsafe-2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">has an abysmal record<\/a>\u00a0of protecting children. Turning Planned Parenthood clinics into hormone dispensaries for vulnerable young people is shockingly negligent, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/7e\/fa\/7efac779-c916-4b58-b6c6-909962d348be\/20201208_v01_gender_affirming_care_services.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">it brags that<\/a>\u00a0\u201cMost people are able to get a hormone prescription at the end of their first visit with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is hard to know how widespread wrong-sex hormone therapy is at Planned Parenthood or how much the abortion chain profits from its new business model. It does, however, sell\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/7e\/fa\/7efac779-c916-4b58-b6c6-909962d348be\/20201208_v01_gender_affirming_care_services.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">feminizing hormones<\/a>\u00a0estrogen and spironolactone, as well as the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/7e\/fa\/7efac779-c916-4b58-b6c6-909962d348be\/20201208_v01_gender_affirming_care_services.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">masculinizing hormone<\/a> testosterone, to clients as young as 16. And it admits that its \u201ctreatment\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/ca\/83\/ca83ccbe-1997-48cd-84b3-c9306a01e689\/faqs_trans_care.pdf\">can<\/a> result in <a href=\"https:\/\/healthcare.utah.edu\/transgender-health\/fertility.php\">infertility<\/a>, especially if\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/dc-childrens-hospital-offered-gender-affirming-hysterectomies-kids-audio-deleted-webpage-reveal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">body-changing surgeries<\/a>\u00a0take place. Planned Parenthood doesn\u2019t seem to offer the surgeries,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/7e\/fa\/7efac779-c916-4b58-b6c6-909962d348be\/20201208_v01_gender_affirming_care_services.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">but it will assist<\/a>\u00a0in setting them up.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Activists, Whistleblowers Sound Alarm<\/h2>\n<p>Even activists who identify as transgender are sounding the alarm on the way gender issues are addressed with children.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Erica Anderson, who is transgender, told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national\/health-science\/when-kids-come-in-saying-they-are-transgender-or-no-gender-these-doctors-try-to-help\/2018\/01\/19\/f635e5fa-dac0-11e7-a841-2066faf731ef_story.html\">The\u00a0Washington Post<\/a>, \u201cA fair number of kids are getting into it because it\u2019s trendy. I\u2019m not sure it\u2019s always really trans. I think in our haste to be supportive; we\u2019re missing that element.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>How is this sensitive issue addressed at Planned Parenthood? A whistleblower\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fabigailshrier.substack.com%2Fp%2Finside-planned-parenthoods-gender&amp;data=05%7C01%7Ckhamrick%40studentsforlife.org%7C25667298bab2435fb19308da8af84598%7Cb3f92ab929b141449c57d11e0e7a368a%7C0%7C0%7C637975096187780330%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=nNanu0TBahwUXG%2Bq5z8kquuthR%2B8%2B5d08x2fcpqqcQ8%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">came forward<\/a>\u00a0with her concerns after seeing countless young girls in her small community come through Planned Parenthood\u2019s doors for wrong-sex hormone therapy. According to the whistleblower, this took place without a licensed counselor, without informed consent, and without a doctor on the premises. Groups of girls would come in giggling and be quickly green-lighted for testosterone without reading the paperwork of potential complications.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Abigail Shrier, who has researched the sudden dramatic increase in teen girls undergoing wrong-sex hormones and surgery, noted that there are many serious potential complications with taking synthetic testosterone.<\/p>\n<p>She writes, \u201cRisks [of testosterone] include\u00a0<a \u201cIt\u2019s a lot to see these kids, like, interpret their feelings in such a way that they end up being confused about their gender.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Planned Parenthood\u2019s Business Model<\/h2>\n<p>With Planned Parenthood running\u00a0<a While Planned Parenthood executives continue to use underserved rural patients as the excuse for the continued existence of a massive abortion business, it never has been about patient care.
