Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepThomasMassie\/status\/1559922047916146690?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1559922047916146690%7Ctwgr%5Ec4c5e8db4e7f8150ee09414704287dd3a489f1cb%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Famericanmilitarynews.com%2F2022%2F08%2Fwe-found-11-more-armed-irs-cop-videos-here-they-are%2F\">tweeted<\/a> a link to the clip while suggesting that the video would dissuade anyone who \u201cthought the IRS needed 87,000 more agents to help you with your tax returns and audit billionaires,\u201d hearkening to the Biden administration\u2019s rhetoric about the additional IRS funding in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-inflation-reduction-act\">Inflation Reduction Act<\/a>, which President Biden signed into law last month.<\/p>\n<p>The Inflation Reduction Act provides $80 billion of additional funding to the IRS over the span of 10 years, allowing the agency to hire nearly 87,000 new employees\u2014more than doubling the agency\u2019s total staff.<\/p>\n<p>The video shared by Massie features the IRS\u2019s Adrian Project, a recruitment project which has operated since at least 2007. In the video, college students wield toy firearms, wear bulletproof vests, and perform mock arrests, as the prospective recruits are introduced to the duties of IRS special agents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe students sharpen their forensic accounting skills and are introduced to interviewing suspects, conducting surveillance and document analysis. The day ends when the students solve the crime and arrest the mock offender,\u201d the IRS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/compliance\/criminal-investigation\/adrian-project-allows-students-to-become-irs-criminal-investigation-special-agents-for-a-day\">said<\/a> about Adrian Project participants.<\/p>\n<p>The IRS Criminal Investigation division has kept weapons and ammunition for decades, which it uses to pursue dangerous and crime-affiliated federal tax criminals.
