Ron Johnson, R-Wis., from exposing the corruption plaguing U.S. institutions. <\/p>\n<p>Johnson first joined Congress in 2011, but it\u2019s in recent years that he\u2019s become one of the few Republicans willing to take on the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/01\/14\/9-times-sen-ron-johnson-triggered-the-left-and-turned-out-to-be-right\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tyrannical Covid regime<\/a>, Big Tech censorship, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/04\/whistleblower-biden-admin-welcomed-hundreds-of-afghans-on-pentagon-watchlist-to-u-s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lack of vetting<\/a> for Afghanistan refugees, Spygate, and the FBI\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/19\/think-the-fbi-deserves-the-benefit-of-the-doubt-this-laundry-list-of-corruption-should-make-you-think-again\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">laundry list<\/a> of malfeasance. <\/p>\n<p>His zeal for calling out corruption is not lost on Democrats and the corporate media. That\u2019s why they\u2019ve worked overtime to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/meet-the-press\/meetthepressblog\/mandela-barnes-airs-two-new-ads-wisconsin-senate-race-rcna45458\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">smear<\/a> Johnson ahead of his re-election race against radical Democrat challenger Mandela Barnes in November. Politico claims Johnson is \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/08\/29\/ron-johnson-same-sex-marriage-00054000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in a bind<\/a>.\u201d The Guardian questions whether he is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2022\/aug\/04\/republican-ron-johnson-social-security-medicare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201con the chopping block.\u201d<\/a> Vanity Fair says the Republican\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/news\/2022\/08\/ron-johnson-road-to-reelection-is-getting-bumpy-mandela-barnes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cRoad To Reelection Is Getting Bumpy.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But for Johnson, his effort to keep the regime\u2019s duplicity at the forefront of Americans\u2019 minds is just the first step on the long road to true accountability and action that voters are demanding when Republicans win back some congressional power.  <\/p>\n<h2>Big Tech Collusion<\/h2>\n<p>Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/26\/confirmed-fbi-colluded-with-big-tech-to-prevent-voters-from-learning-about-hunter-bidens-laptop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">admitted<\/a> last week on an episode of \u201cThe Joe Rogan Experience\u201d that his company was pressured in October of 2020 by the FBI to throttle so-called Russian disinformation \u2014 i.e. the explosive Hunter Biden laptop story, which wasn\u2019t disinformation. Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/10\/14\/facebook-is-now-officially-censoring-the-new-york-posts-hunter-biden-bombshell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">complied<\/a> with these requests for information suppression by \u201creducing [the New York Post\u2019s story] distribution on our platform.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ronjohnson.senate.gov\/services\/files\/19B9550B-8CB3-4EEA-ADA6-F17CB84F02F9\">letter<\/a> written with Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, Johnson demanded that both Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray provide the documents and communications that corroborate Zuckerberg\u2019s claims. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe FBI\u2019s consistent efforts to falsely paint information relating to Biden family misconduct as Russian disinformation continues to draw serious concerns, and those concerns are magnified by the FBI\u2019s consistent failure to answer congressional inquiries,\u201d the Republican duo noted. <\/p>\n<p>Johnson and Grassley also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ronjohnson.senate.gov\/services\/files\/19B9550B-8CB3-4EEA-ADA6-F17CB84F02F9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">petitioned Zuckerberg<\/a> for more information about the Department of Justice and FBI\u2019s pressure campaign ahead of the 2020 election. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe American people deserve to know whether the FBI used Facebook as part of their alleged plan to discredit information about Hunter Biden,\u201d the senators wrote. \u201cIf so, Congress and the American people require clarity with respect to the extent the FBI communicated with Facebook during the 2020 election about Hunter Biden-related information.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Whistleblower Reports<\/h2>\n<p>Since Johnson knows the FBI and DOJ are intentionally difficult when it comes to answering requests for more information, he opened the door for whistleblowers within those agencies to come to him with their worries about corruption. <\/p>\n<p>As a result, multiple government employees with concerns about the DOJ and FBI\u2019s conduct shared that their agencies were being <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/27\/sen-johnson-blasts-weaponized-fbi-for-undermining-hunter-biden-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unfairly weaponized for partisan reasons.<\/a> Several whistleblowers <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/24\/you-will-not-look-at-that-hunter-biden-laptop-johnson-whistleblowers-reveal-more-fbi-corruption-in-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">also shared<\/a> their strongly evidenced allegations that the FBI \u201cintentionally undermined efforts to investigate Hunter Biden.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>That news, Johnson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ronjohnson.senate.gov\/services\/files\/065351CE-066C-449A-A9E5-23C5B737001A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pointed out<\/a> \u2014 compounded with Garland, Wray, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz\u2019s attempts to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/27\/sen-johnson-blasts-weaponized-fbi-for-undermining-hunter-biden-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cintentionally discredit\u201d<\/a> Johnson and Grassley\u2019s investigations into Hunter Biden\u2019s shady foreign business dealings \u2014   does not bode well for either agency\u2019s credibility. <\/p>\n<h2>Hunter\u2019s Foreign Entanglements<\/h2>\n<p>Speaking of Hunter, it was Johnson and Grassley who, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/09\/23\/us\/politics\/biden-inquiry-republicans-johnson.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">despite smears<\/a> from the corrupt corporate media and a lack of transparency from the DOJ, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/02\/ron-johnson-is-asking-all-the-hunter-biden-questions-the-media-should-be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">led the investigation<\/a> into the president\u2019s son\u2019s financial entanglements with foreign enemies.<\/p>\n<p>Even after an <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/08\/25\/gop-senators-want-fbi-to-answer-for-hunter-biden-briefing\/\">\u201cunnecessary briefing\u201d<\/a> from the FBI and a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2021\/05\/03\/sens-johnson-grassley-slam-intelligence-chiefs-for-partisan-information-leaks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">subsequent partisan leak <\/a>that framed Johnson and Grassley as pursuing \u201cRussian disinformation,\u201d the pair continued <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/06\/gop-senators-release-more-receipts-showing-the-depths-of-biden-family-profiteering-with-foreign-enemies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">releasing key receipts<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsgac.senate.gov\/media\/majority-media\/johnson-grassley-release-report-on-conflicts-of-interest-investigation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a> showing just how deep the Biden family\u2019s profiteering with <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/29\/senators-release-receipts-showing-direct-payments-from-foreign-oligarchs-to-hunter-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">overseas oligarchs<\/a>, including those linked to the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/30\/u-s-senators-reveal-ccp-controlled-company-funneled-millions-to-biden-family-to-represent-spy-chief-of-china\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chinese Communist Party<\/a> and the wife of the Moscow mayor, truly goes. <\/p>\n<p>Even when Garland feigned ignorance about whether the DOJ used \u201cextraordinary surveillance tools\u201d on one of Hunter\u2019s former Chinese business partners Chi-Ping \u201cPatrick\u201d Ho, who was convicted in December 2018 for international bribery and money laundering, Johnson<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/11\/16\/top-gop-senators-push-doj-to-clear-up-false-statement-about-biden-family-business-in-china\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> didn\u2019t stop asking questions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ronjohnson.senate.gov\/services\/files\/AECCDFD8-2129-45EB-A18F-B11EB81CC902\">demanded<\/a> the White House answer why President Joe Biden shared official business with Hunter via <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/29\/white-house-wont-say-why-joe-biden-shared-official-vp-business-with-hunter-via-non-government-email\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">non-government email<\/a> during the Obama administration, something the same FBI and DOJ that raided Trump\u2019s home over \u201cclassified documents\u201d seem to have no interest in exploring. <\/p>\n<h2>Political Violence<\/h2>\n<p>When violent abortion activists took responsibility for the firebombing and vandalism of several pro-life organizations shortly after the <em>Dobbs v. Jackson<\/em> leak in May, Johnson demanded to know why federal law enforcement and the DOJ hadn\u2019t stepped in. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are currently mobs outside of the residences of the Supreme Court Justices appointed by Presidents George W. Bush and Donald Trump \u2026 and, once again, DOJ, FBI, and DHS have yet to condemn these activities,\u201d Johnson wrote in a scathing <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/13\/exclusive-ron-johnson-demands-federal-law-enforcement-address-terrorist-attacks-on-pro-life-groups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">letter<\/a>. \u201cI want to reemphasize that your silence on this abhorrent attack against a pro-life organization is deafening and your continued silence could be construed as a tacit endorsement.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Spygate<\/h2>\n<p>Last but not least, Johnson\u2019s attempts to hold the corrupt deep state accountable largely started with his relentless evisceration of the Russia-collusion hoax and Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/11\/19\/johnson-impeachment-inquiry-an-effort-to-sabotage-the-trump-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ukraine phone call<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Once again, Johnson was one of the only congressional Republicans who rejected claims that Trump was colluding with Russians to steal the 2016 election. He spent years investigating and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsgac.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/2018-02-07%20Interim%20Report_The%20Clinton%20Email%20Scandal%20and%20the%20FBI&#039;s%20Investigation%20of%20It.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">documenting<\/a> the deliberate failures by the FBI and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/06\/10\/new-russiagate-subpoenas-probe-depths-of-obama-administration-corruption-in-flynn-ambush\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">political motivations<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/10\/03\/gop-senators-demand-investigation-of-classified-leaks-from-anti-trump-whistleblower-complaint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fueled<\/a> Democrats\u2019 two impeachment attempts. He also spent years <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/10\/08\/grassley-johnson-blast-cia-director-gina-haspel-for-stonewalling-congress-on-russiagate-oversight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blasting <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/08\/10\/ron-johnson-subpoenas-fbi-director-for-all-records-related-to-origin-of-russia-probe\/\">deceitful <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/10\/08\/grassley-johnson-blast-cia-director-gina-haspel-for-stonewalling-congress-on-russiagate-oversight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">intelligence officials<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2018\/05\/10\/two-months-later-doj-still-hasnt-responded-to-top-senate-investigator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stonewalling<\/a> Congress on Spygate oversight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHad the public known what the FBI knew at that time, it\u2019s hard to imagine public support for continuing the investigation, much less the appointment of a special counsel four months later,\u201d Johnson <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/12\/18\/ron-johnson-investigation-into-trump-should-have-been-shut-down-not-ramped-up\/\">said<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>He was right, which is why the FBI and DOJ allies in the Democrat Party and the corporate media are gunning for Johnson\u2019s Senate seat.
