Through mandatory vaccines and compulsory racial equity struggle sessions, executives are signaling to conservative Christians that their viewpoints are not welcome.<\/p>\n<p>In a series of interviews with The Daily Wire, three such individuals detailed life as a \u201csheep in wolves\u2019 clothing\u201d in corporate America.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018A Second-Class Human\u2019<\/p>\n<p>One information technology professional who recently left asset management behemoth Vanguard told The Daily Wire that the company\u2019s culture has \u201cchanged dramatically\u201d over the past few years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhereas the previous culture had fairly normal workplace boundaries of avoiding politics and religion in the office, the new leadership became outspoken about social issues and began to increase pressure on management to encourage conversations with their crew about politics, race, and social events,\u201d he explained. During the protests that arose after the death of George Floyd, managers were \u201cencouraged to hold meetings with their teams to talk through the issues openly\u201d \u2014 although \u201cin almost all cases the conversations and invited speakers were aligned directly to the political left.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, vaccine mandates provided Vanguard with the opportunity to treat anyone pursuing a religious or medical exemption as \u201ca second-class human.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt one point, the company began to make subtle changes to specific employee benefits that bound the benefit to the person\u2019s vaccination status,\u201d the employee claimed. \u201cOnce complaints were raised, these requirements were quietly removed. Unvaccinated employees were at one point also told they were not allowed to see other employees of the company in person even if they were not on company property.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the employee, disdain toward conservatism and Christianity \u201cbegan and is still fueled by management, but as a result it has trickled down over the years.\u201d Through executives\u2019 endorsement of diversity events \u2014 including a <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/exclusive-vanguard-holds-family-friendly-drag-queen-show-with-kids-funds-abortions-and-dei-initiatives\">family-friendly drag show<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/diversity-training-at-vanguard-tells-white-men-to-accept-uncomfortable-criticism-floats-holding-them-accountable\">training for white male managers<\/a> \u2014 Vanguard managers are pressured into compliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmployees in favor of these things feel empowered to speak loudly about their beliefs now, while conservatives and Christians within the company feel they can\u2019t speak out without repercussions,\u201d he continued. \u201cThere are internal \u2018specialty groups\u2019 for almost every racial minority, veterans, and the LGBT community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The employee does not believe that change will occur unless Vanguard CEO Tim Buckley \u2014 who sat in the front row during the white male diversity training \u2014 is replaced. \u201cThere have been so many internal campaigns to \u2018bring your whole self to work,\u2019 but over the past few years it\u2019s become clear what that really means \u2014 embrace the culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The Odd Man Out\u2019<\/p>\n<p>A staff consultant at professional services firm Ernst &#038; Young explained to The Daily Wire that any play at diversity is merely restricted to \u201csurface-level\u201d factors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen it comes to cultural issues, only mainstream beliefs are allowed. And by mainstream, I mean left-of-center,\u201d he recounted. \u201cThere are all kinds of leftist talking points everywhere you look \u2014 it\u2019s laced into the fabric of our culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among other examples, the employee referenced announcements made on \u201cTrans Visibility Day,\u201d an internal anti-racism website to which staffers are repeatedly pointed, and multiple events for \u201cPride Month\u201d each June, as well as new benefits for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/here-are-the-woke-businesses-vowing-to-cover-travel-costs-for-employees-abortion-tourism\">abortion tourism<\/a> and \u201cgender affirmation\u201d care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you hold a conservative or biblical view on anything, you are the odd man out, and you will constantly have opposing views thrust upon you,\u201d the employee said. \u201cAnd if you were to voice that opinion, you would be opening yourself up to criticism and possibly worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During an internship at a separate company in the summer before his senior year of college, the employee had faced pressure from management after he liked posts on LinkedIn critical of Black Lives Matter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI ended up in a very awkward one-on-one call with one of the top executives from the company,\u201d the employee said. \u201cHe lectured me on how certain viewpoints can make other people uncomfortable, but he never told me to unlike the posts or not to engage with cultural issues at all. Indeed, many other people at that company posted about cultural issues \u2014 the difference is that they were left-of-center. I never got a return offer from the internship. I\u2019m not sure if my worldview was the reason why, but it wouldn\u2019t surprise me at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The employee said that derision toward conservatism stems from Ernst &#038; Young management \u2014 \u201cespecially the executives.\u201d Although it is \u201cpossible to find individual employees that are more conservative,\u201d doing so can be \u201cdifficult, because no one broadcasts their beliefs if they\u2019re anything but left-of-center.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Heavily Influenced By Marxist Thought\u2019<\/p>\n<p>An account manager at IBM software subsidiary Red Hat told The Daily Wire that the company<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Corporate America \u2014 despite the billions of dollars its leadership pours into diversity efforts \u2014 is among the most intolerant and illiberal institutions in the nation toward those with Christian beliefs and conservative political leanings.
