(Tom Williams\/CQ-Roll Call, Inc via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>The lawmakers specifically requested all records between and among Facebook, the FBI, the DOJ, and government agency employees that referred to Hunter Biden, including but not limited to Russian disinformation, the Hunter Biden laptop, and the senators\u2019 investigation into Hunter Biden\u2019s business dealings.<\/p>\n<p>They also asked for the names of the DOJ, FBI, and Facebook officials who communicated \u201cregarding Russian disinformation during the 2020 election\u201d as well as those officials who made contact \u201cduring the 2020 election,\u201d and \u201cthe dates of when Facebook decreased the distribution of articles relating to Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour revelation that Facebook took steps to censor information about Hunter Biden on its platform based on the FBI\u2019s guidance raises even more questions about the FBI\u2019s actions regarding Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop,\u201d the letter said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs you may know,\u201d the senators continued, \u201cwhistleblowers have recently alleged to Senator Grassley that in August 2020, FBI officials initiated a scheme to downplay derogatory information on Hunter Biden for the purpose of shutting down investigative activity relating to his potential criminal exposure by labeling it \u2018disinformation.\u2019 Whistleblowers have also alleged to Senator Johnson that local FBI leadership instructed its employees not to look at the Hunter Biden laptop immediately after the FBI had obtained it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Greg Wilson contributed to this report.<\/p>\n<p><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican senators are demanding that Facebook turn over its communications with the FBI regarding Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop. \u201cThe American people deserve to know whether the FBI used Facebook as part of their alleged plan to discredit information about Hunter Biden,\u201d Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) wrote to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
