You can add or subtract different ingredients to suit your tastes and maybe your calorie count, but you&#8217;re not likely to skip the dressing altogether. If you favor a particular variety, you&#8217;ll want to heed a new warning from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). These apply to all foods, and dressings and sauces are no exception. Earlier this year, Conagra Brands issued a <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/bestlifeonline.com\/wish-bone-salad-dressing-recall-news\/\" target=\"_blank\">voluntary recall<\/a> for its <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/conagra-brands-issues-voluntary-allergy-alert-undeclared-egg-wish-boner-thousand-island-and-chunky\" target=\"_blank\">Wish-Bone Thousand Island<\/a> and Chunky Blue Cheese dressings, due to presence of an undeclared allergen\u2014egg. Consumers were instructed to throw recalled dressings out and report any adverse reactions to a doctor.<\/p>\n<p>Condiments have also been under fire, as just last week, Rushdi Food Industries announced a <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/rushdi-foods-issues-voluntary-recall-one-lot-their-mighty-sesame-organic-tahini-109-oz-squeeze\" target=\"_blank\">voluntary recall<\/a> of its Mighty Sesame 10.9 Oz Organic Tahini (Squeezable). Tahini, a condiment made from ground sesame seeds, has multiple uses, including a salad topping. Interestingly, it has nothing to do with the famed Roman dictator <strong>Julius Caesar<\/strong>, but was <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/foodchannel.com\/2009\/who-is-the-caesar-salad-really-named-after\" target=\"_blank\">actually named for<\/a> Italian chef <strong>Caesar Cardini<\/strong>, who first concocted and served the salad in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1924.\u00a0And if you&#8217;re a Caesar salad-lover, you know that it&#8217;s not complete without its signature Caesar dressing.<\/p>\n<p>You might prefer to make your dressing from scratch, but if you buy it from the grocery store instead, there&#8217;s one particular variety you&#8217;ll need to avoid.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 26, Van Law Food Products Inc. <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer external nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/van-law-food-products-issues-allergy-alert-undeclared-soy-and-wheat-product\" target=\"_blank\">issued a voluntary recall<\/a> of its Whole Foods Market 365 Organic Creamy Caesar Dressing, according to a notice posted by the FDA.
