I love this girly life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jason made a joke on that too, saying, \u201cLmao!! Im glad they didn\u2019t too, cause you and I wouldn\u2019t have worked out,\u201d along with the cry laughing emoji.<\/p>\n<p>Her statement inspired immediate backlash, especially among liberal country stars. As The Daily Wire originally <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/one-of-the-worst-evils-brittany-aldean-refuses-to-back-down-after-liberal-country-stars-attack-her-for-transgender-post\">reported<\/a>, Cassadee Pope hit back with her own opinion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging,\u201d Pope shared in her reply. \u201cBut instead here we are, hearing someone compare their \u2018tomboy phase\u2019 to someone wanting to transition. Real nice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morris agreed with Pope, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Country star Ryan Hurd, who is married to Morris, backed up his wife\u2019s point of view.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cScoring quick points by picking on trans kids isn\u2019t something that is brave at all. And I\u2019m proud of Maren for sticking up for them. Badge of honor to have CO engage in completely normal discourse, too. Shut up and sing only applies to those who you disagree with,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RyanHurd\/status\/1563597033956851714\">tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He continued in a follow-up, \u201cGetting a lot of people telling me our career is over, as if the last time she spoke up about something it disappeared. Honestly, we\u2019re pretty ok over here. Tours are good, got a 2 year old we love, we\u2019re f***ing fine, and I promise she isn\u2019t going to shut up now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brittany faced a lot of hate following her statement, but so far she hasn\u2019t backed down and has since reiterated her previous position. \u201cAdvocating for the genital mutilation of children under the disguise of love and calling it \u2018gender affirming care\u2019 is one of the worst evils,\u201d she shared in reply to all the criticism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will always support my children and do what I can to protect their innocence,\u201d she continued. \u201cSome parents want to be accepted by society so badly, that they\u2019re willing to make life-altering decisions for their children who aren\u2019t old enough to fully comprehend the consequences of those actions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLove is protecting your child until they are mature enough as an adult to make their own life decisions,\u201d Brittany concluded. \u201cThankful my parents allowed me to go through my tomboy phase without changing my gender.
