Trust me; it\u2019ll be worth it.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A New Strategy<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It wasn\u2019t that long ago that Uncle Joe couldn\u2019t bear to let his predecessor\u2019s name escape his lips, yet he doesn\u2019t seem to have an issue with it now. As eluded to earlier, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/maga-republicans-fit-definition-of-fascism-says-white-house-2022-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">President made headlines<\/a> when he said last week:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWhat we\u2019re seeing now is either the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy. It\u2019s not just Trump, it\u2019s the entire philosophy that underpins the \u2013 I\u2019m going to say something \u2013 it\u2019s like semi-fascism.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div id=\"subscribe\" class=\"email-signup inarticle\">\n<h4>Support Conservative Voices!<\/h4>\n<h5><strong>Sign up to receive the latest<\/strong> political news, insight, and commentary delivered directly to your inbox.<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He doesn\u2019t just stop there; the speech has all sorts of beautiful nuggets of ridiculousness scattered throughout. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2022\/08\/26\/biden-called-republicans-semi-fascist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Take this warning<\/a>, for example:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThe MAGA Republicans don\u2019t just threaten our personal rights and economic security, they\u2019re a threat to our very democracy. They embrace \u2013 embrace \u2013 political violence.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It would appear Sleepy Joe has gotten a bit of an energy boost or is following a new strategy to mitigate any midterm losses this November. Ron DeSantis<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Definitions<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When asked about the President\u2019s comments, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre doubled down:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI was very clear when laying out and defining what MAGA Republicans have done, and you look at the definition of fascism, and you think about what they\u2019re doing in attacking our democracy \u2013 that is what that is. It is very clear.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">KJP: &#8220;What MAGA Republicans have done\u2026You look at the definition of fascism and you think about what they&#8217;re doing in attacking our democracy, what they&#8217;re doing in taking away our freedoms, taking away our rights, our voting rights. That is what that is.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/pqQMYANMi5\">pic.twitter.com\/pqQMYANMi5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Townhall.com (@townhallcom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/townhallcom\/status\/1563228014229725189?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 26, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Is it, though? When the word fascism is evoked, what should materialize in your mind is Benito Mussolini\u2019s Italy and Adolf Hitler\u2019s Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Fascism is characterized by totalitarian social and economic control, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jstor.org\/stable\/261168\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cthird way\u201d between communism and capitalism<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Now, the argument the left likes to push is that \u2018MAGA Republicans\u2019 are fascists because of January 6th, Governor Ron DeSantis\u2019 parental rights positions in Florida, and those of us who are pro-life, to name a few excuses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Besides the fact that none of those things are signs of semi-fascism, let alone fascism, it\u2019s pretty \u2018pot calling the kettle black\u2019 if you ask me. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It wasn\u2019t that long ago that key Democratic leaders were de-legitimizing the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/06\/09\/democrats-wont-apologize-for-inciting-violence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supreme Court<\/a>, encouraging violence in the streets during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/04\/19\/politics\/maxine-waters-derek-chauvin-trial\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">summer 2020 riots<\/a>, and claiming that the <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/campaign\/578885-education-blunder-igniting-suburban-parents-driving-mcauliffe-panic-in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">government knows better<\/a> than parents when raising their kids.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">However, those things aren\u2019t enough to paint all Democrats as would-be-fascists, neo-fascists, fascist-adjacent, full-blown fascists, or semi-fascists. I say Republicans because, make no mistake, when he says \u2018MAGA Republicans,\u2019 he\u2019s referring to all of us.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He also makes bold pleas to voters based on a dire warning of what could happen if we don\u2019t vote for Democrats in November.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2022\/08\/26\/remarks-by-president-biden-at-a-at-a-democratic-national-committee-grassroots-rally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Take his hat tip<\/a> to the historians he\u2019s been having late-night \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/thepoliticalinsider.com\/washington-post-writes-incredible-fluff-piece-claiming-biden-held-socratic-dialogues-with-scholars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Socratic dialogues\u2019<\/a> with at the White House:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cLook, I believe America is at a genuine inflection point that occurs every 6 or 7 generations in world history \u2013 one of the moments \u2013 one of the moments that changes everything.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He would know, he\u2019s been around for about 6 or 7 generations. He goes on to explain:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c\u2026will we be a country that moves forward or backward? Will we build a future or obsess over the past? Will we be a nation of unity, of hope, of optimism \u2013 not a nation of anger, violence, hatred, and division?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I don\u2019t know about you, but 2022 is almost over, and I feel like I\u2019m still recovering from 2020. Are we ever going to have an election that isn\u2019t the \u2018single most defining election ever\u2019 to determine if we continue to be free or fall into the same realm as Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It\u2019s interesting that Joe brings up our choice to be a nation of unity and optimism. New Hampshire <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/sunday-talk-shows\/3618594-gop-governor-says-biden-owes-an-apology-to-republicans-after-semi-fascist-comment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Governor Chris Sununu<\/a> said of the President\u2019s claims that we are semi-fascists:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWhen we allow ourselves to talk in these extremes, we polarize the country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He goes on to point out that Biden had claimed he; \u201c\u2026was going to bring everybody together.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Has Biden done <em>anything<\/em> in the last two years to build unity?<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">With unity, we can do great things. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BMCgyZkdH1\">pic.twitter.com\/BMCgyZkdH1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 President Biden (@POTUS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1352598217561694212?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 22, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/thepoliticalinsider.com\/bidens-deplorables-moment-president-accuses-maga-republicans-of-semi-fascism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden\u2019s \u2018Deplorables\u2019 Moment: President Accuses \u2018MAGA Republicans\u2019 Of \u2018Semi-Fascism\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You Know What I Mean<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/nbcs-peter-alexander-questions-bidens-semi-fascism-comment-guy-who-said-he-wanted-unifier\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden tweeted<\/a> in November 2020:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI pledge to be a President who seeks not to divide, but to unify. Who doesn\u2019t see red and blue states, but a United States. And who will work with all my heart to win the confidence of the whole people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He should\u2019ve put an addendum to this tweet that his pledge is contingent on the election cycle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">We live in a world where definitions of words are fluid, speech can be labeled as literal \u201cviolence,\u201d and \u201cexperts\u201d are not to be questioned. Yet, as one of my favorite writers, George Orwell, once said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThe slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When we play fast a loose with language like fascist, Nazi, racist, etc., we dilute the actual meanings of these words and thus cloud our ability to guard against them.
