But you\u2019re looking at it all wrong. Your life has gotten <em>better<\/em>. And it\u2019s because of Biden.<\/p>\n<p>This, for all the angry Twitter people, is called sarcasm.<\/p>\n<p>Other than Ukrainian government officials, no one is doing well because of Biden. We\u2019re suffering, especially the middle class.<\/p>\n<p>Yet the national media keep talking about all these supposed \u201cwins\u201d Biden is racking up, which are in turn going to mitigate what most people had been sure would be a Democrat blowout in November.<\/p>\n<p>New York Times columnist Charles Blow gushed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/08\/28\/opinion\/biden-democrats-midterms.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">on Sunday<\/a> over Biden\u2019s \u201cstring of successes\u201d of late, and his \u201crecent wins.\u201d Earlier this month, NPR also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2022\/08\/12\/1116745451\/democrats-biden-midterms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">took note<\/a> of Biden\u2019s \u201crecent wins.\u201d Politico, too, concluded that Biden is, in fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/08\/09\/joe-biden-legislative-wins-00050461\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cpiling up wins.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t you feel it? All those wins coming right at you! I can hardly keep count.<\/p>\n<p>To be fair, Democrats and their friends in the media really do consider some events of the past few weeks to be <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/18\/the-corrupt-media-cant-wish-a-successful-biden-into-existence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cwins,\u201d<\/a> even if most people don\u2019t. Biden did just spread out billions of dollars in college loan debt among taxpayers, including those who never went to college. He did just sign into law a bill that did nothing to address inflation or gas prices, though it did supersize the Internal Revenue Service and pour yet more buckets of money into the \u201cgreen energy\u201d sinkhole. Oh, and an achievement Democrats are particularly proud of is the $15 billion (and counting) that the U.S. (you) has sent to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what it feels like to win!*<\/p>\n<p>(*So long as having a savings account and abstaining from a foreign war with minimal American interests isn\u2019t something you care about.)<\/p>\n<p>True, Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/biden-approval-rating\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">approval rating<\/a> has been ticking up over the course of August, though only to about 42 percent, an embarrassingly low number when you consider just a few weeks ago he was even lower than Donald Trump was at the same point of his presidency.<\/p>\n<p>But the slight upswing is less about his \u201cstring of successes\u201d that have actually improved anyone\u2019s lives than it is about angry, bitter Democrats who are impressed he\u2019s made progress on their weird obsessions. They were inconsolable right up until he secured funding for the IRS to harass middle-income earners some more. It put a little pep in their step but that\u2019s all.<\/p>\n<p>They can call it a winning streak.
