California\u2019s out of touch laws have no place in our Commonwealth,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert, a Republican, said in a statement last week that GOP state lawmakers plan to propose a measure that delinks Virginia\u2019s car emission standards from California\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHouse Republicans will advance legislation in 2023 to put Virginians back in charge of Virginia\u2019s auto emission standards and its vehicle marketplace.
