The revelation, coupled with whistleblowers\u2019 allegations the bureau barred agents from investigating it, raises questions about the FBI\u2019s role in the election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe\u00a0FBI routinely notifies U.S. private sector entities, including social media providers, of potential threat information, so that they can decide how to better defend against threats,\u201d the bureau said in a statement Friday night, adding that it \u201ccannot ask, or direct, companies to take action on information received.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The same FBI who lied about Russian \u201ccollusion\u201d and raided President Trump\u2019s home asked Facebook to manipulate its feed to bury the Hunter Biden story.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep. Jim Jordan (@Jim_Jordan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jim_Jordan\/status\/1563244069966323718?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 26, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While Facebook and Twitter, which also silenced the New York Post bombshell ahead of the election, are private companies not technically bound by the First Amendment, any action taken under government pressure could become a constitutional issue.<\/p>\n<p>Photos, videos, emails, and text messages on the abandoned laptop, which were also ignored by legacy news outlets, paint the president\u2019s son as a drug-addled, venal degenerate and raise troubling questions about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/joe-biden-spoke-with-hunter-about-dealings-with-chinese-oil-tycoon-voicemail-reveals\">President Joe Biden\u2019s own role in his son\u2019s corrupt dealings<\/a>.\u00a0A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tippinsights.com\/shock-poll-8-in-10-think-biden-laptop-cover-up-changed-election\/\">recent poll by TechnoMetrica Institute of Policy and Politics<\/a>\u00a0suggested that 79% of Americans believe President Trump likely would have won re-election if voters had known about the contents of Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop and that it was authentic.<\/p>\n<p>Long after the election, media outlets like CNN and the Washington Post, which had dismissed the laptop as Russian disinformation, acknowledged it was authentic.<\/p>\n<p>Zuckerberg told Rogan he couldn\u2019t remember if the FBI alluded specifically to the laptop, but after the FBI released its statement, Meta <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MetaNewsroom\/status\/1563225392735219713\">tweeted<\/a> that the warning had been general in nature.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe FBI shared general warnings about foreign interference \u2014 nothing specific about Hunter Biden,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>Zuckerberg\u2019s revelation came on the heels of Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) disclosing that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/fbi-brass-barred-agents-from-probing-hunters-laptop-whistleblowers-tell-lawmaker\">multiple whistleblowers<\/a>\u00a0from inside the FBI have told him they were barred by their superiors from investigating the laptop.<\/p>\n<p>The computer, which Hunter Biden abandoned at a Wilmington, Delaware, computer repair shop, is believed to have been in the possession of the FBI since late 2019, more than a year before the election. It contains photos of Hunter Biden naked and smoking crack,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/vindictive-moron-vile-texts-reportedly-show-hunter-bidens-disdain-for-first-lady-jill-biden\">unseemly discussions about his family<\/a>, and sexual activities, and references to the role of the \u201cBig Guy\u201d in corrupt dealings with foreign entities. The \u201cBig Guy\u201d has been named by former\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/death-row-or-wanted-for-murder-the-cursed-lives-of-hunter-bidens-associates\">Hunter Biden associate Tony Bobulinski<\/a>\u00a0as Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/christopher-wray\">FBI Director Christopher Wray<\/a>\u00a0told lawmakers earlier this month that he could not comment on what, if anything, the bureau is doing regarding the laptop.
