It has since been restored after House Republicans voiced protest.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook told the committee that it was a \u2018technical error,\u2019 an aide for the office of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, told The Epoch Times.<\/p>\n<p>But the lawmaker was not convinced by the explanation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always a \u2018glitch\u2019 when it comes to Republicans and Big Tech,\u201d Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, told The Epoch Times. \u201cNo one\u2019s buying it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Conservatives have long accused big tech corporations of using their powers to suppress viewpoints and news that these companies do not agree with, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/rep-marjorie-taylor-greene-says-facebook-censoring-her-after-twitter-ban_4192554.html\">COVID-19 information<\/a> and stories about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/facebook-reduced-reach-of-posts-about-hunter-biden-laptop-in-lead-up-to-2020-election-zuckerberg_4690389.html\">Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Asked by The Epoch Times, Facebook pointed to a statement from Andy Stone, Meta\u2019s communication director, saying that \u201cnothing\u201d in the GOP committee post violated company policies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is nothing about the content<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republicans are not convinced by an explanation offered by Facebook as to why a post criticizing President Joe Biden\u2019s cancelation of student loan debt was taken down by the platform.
