Pool, who became famous for live-streaming the Occupy Wall Street protests in 2011, wrote and performed the debut single \u201cOnly Ever Wanted\u201d as a collaboration with Carter Banks and Parada.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this song we make our first foray into seizing back the cultural spaces dominated by establishment institutions that hate you,\u201d Pool said of his first contribution to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/music-industry\">music industry<\/a>.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>Pool called the new album \u201ca dream come true.\u201d He <a href=\"https:\/\/heromag.net\/exclusive-tim-pool-drops-new-single-with-cancelled-drummer-pete-parada\/\">said<\/a> in a press release, \u201cThe first song I ever learned was from the first album I ever bought, \u2018Americana\u2019 By the Offspring. When I heard that Pete was fired over his inability to get the vaccine I knew instantly that The Offspring had made a mistake, both politically and in terms of market opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last August, Parada <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/offspring-drummer-writes-viral-post-opposing-vaccine-mandates-parts-ways-with-him-over-medical-inability-to-get-shot\">announced<\/a> he would not be joining the band\u2019s upcoming tour because he had the immune condition Guillain-Barr\u00e9 Syndrome and had been advised not to get the COVID vaccine. He said because he wouldn\u2019t \u201ccomply with what is increasingly becoming an industry mandate,\u201d his band The Offspring claimed \u201c[he was] unsafe to be around\u201d and fired him after 14 years.<\/p>\n<p>But to Pool, their loss was his gain. He continued, \u201cPete\u2019s drumming and vision has been a major asset to our production and added that burst of energy our songs were looking for. Carter made magic happen and transformed these songs I\u2019ve written into something I never thought possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parada agreed that the collaboration with Pool was a huge benefit both personally and professionally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTim was one of the first people with a large platform to support me after my dismissal from The Offspring,\u201d Parada said. \u201cWhen I reached out to thank him, he immediately invited me to his home to talk about music and the possibility of working together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The veteran drummer said he was happy to keep making music with Pool and Banks after he was let go from the band.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was impressed with the range of material that he had already written and could instantly hear what I would do with those songs.
