Scientists should openly address uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, \u201cpoliticians should dispassionately count the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of their policy measures,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/clintel.org\/world-climate-declaration\/\">declaration<\/a> states.<\/p>\n<p>CLINTEL was founded in 2019 by emeritus professor of geophysics Guus Berkhout and science journalist Marcel Crok to promote knowledge and understanding of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-climate-change\">climate change<\/a> in forming climate policy.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/07\/23\/rsz_de0dce21715e88816d79ca11-1200x900.jpg\"><\/a> A woman holds a sign in support of farmers protesting the Dutch government\u2019s climate change policies, in Ottawa on July 23, 2022. (Annie Wu\/The Epoch Times) <\/p>\n<p>Crok said the WCD project began in 2019 and that the power is in its message, brevity, and accessibility.<\/p>\n<p>Conservative in its statements, \u201cthe message is plain and clear: there is no climate emergency. Very important: this is true even if you accept that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-co2\">CO2<\/a> is the main driver of the current climate change,\u201d Crok told The Epoch Times in an email.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe simply state that all evidence so far indicates that the increase in CO2 and the increase in temperature [are] not harmful for us or for nature and therefore the climate hysteria surrounding the topic is totally unjustified [and] that the \u2018cure\u2019\u2014getting rid of fossil fuels asap and replace them with renewables\u2014probably will be worse than the \u2018disease\u2019 [climate change],\u201d Crok said.<\/p>\n<p>Crok said the CLINTEL document has produced significant pushback from climate activists.<\/p>\n<p>He said the organization sent many open letters to organizations such as the<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than 1,100 scientists and professionals worldwide have signed a World Climate Declaration (WCD) stating that there is no climate emergency.
