Historically, the party of the president tends to lose House seats, and Democrats have a slim advantage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese new allegations are appalling, and continue to demonstrate that the FBI\u2018s culture has gone off the rails,\u201d Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2022\/aug\/23\/gop-lawmakers-prepare-investigate-new-fbi-whistleb\/\">told<\/a> The Washington Times. \u201cNew FBI whistleblowers are coming forward at a rapid pace, and my Republican colleagues and I on the Judiciary committee will leave no stone unturned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When contacted by The Epoch Times Wednesday, the FBI issued a statement regarding anonymous whistleblower complaints, saying that \u201cmen and women of the FBI do their jobs with rigor, objectivity, and a fierce commitment to our mission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll FBI employees are held to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct. Allegations of misconduct are taken seriously and referred to the Inspection Division or the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General. Through the disciplinary process, the FBI will continue to hold employees accountable for any substantiated misconduct,\u201d the bureau continued.<\/p>\n<p>Another, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), said that he\u2019s also received whistleblower complaints in recent days that warrant an investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight now, all of the flow is unidirectional to us from people who work at the FBI or DOJ, because we don\u2019t have the investigative tools to go and demand the records and conduct depositions to get a lot of the follow-up evidence,\u201d Gaetz told the paper.<\/p>\n<p>One whistleblower, Gaetz said, spoke to his office because he\u2019s fearful the agency will collapse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe guy told me that he loves the bureau, that he doesn\u2019t want to see the bureau defunded or destroyed, but that he really feels<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>House Republicans said that recent allegations from whistleblowers regarding the\u00a0FBI\u2019s management and executives will be investigated.
