The car then spun and his front end made contact with the outside wall.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-block full\">\n<div class=\"video-player youtube\">[embedded content]<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"title\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boundingintosports.com\/2022\/07\/kurt-busch-not-cleared-to-race-at-indianapolis-after-hard-wreck-at-pocono\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kurt Busch Not Cleared To Race At Indianapolis After Hard Wreck At Pocono<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following the wreck, Busch revealed he was suffering from \u201cconcussion-like symptoms.\u201d He wrote on Twitter, \u201d \u201cNASCAR has done a great job of putting the drivers\u2019 health before competition and I respect the decision they have made. He announced he would miss the playoffs writing on Twitter, \u201cAs much as I wanted and hoped to be able to get back in the No. 45 car to make a playoff run with our team, it\u2019s still not the right time for me. Gibbs took over the No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota Camry at Pocono and has filled in for him in subsequent races. At Pocono, Gibbs finished 16th. He followed that up with a 17th place finish at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course. He then posted a 10th place finish at Michigan International Speedway.<\/p>\n<p>Gibbs had an engine failure at Richmond Raceway and he finished dead last in 36th place. Definitely one on points and then one for either a new winner or on points,\u201d he explained. \u201cSo either Ryan Blaney or Martin Truex Jr. would be in if there is no new winner. If one of them wins, the other would in. And if there is a new winner then it comes down to Blaney and Truex on points.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlaney currently leads Truex by 25 points. So Blaney could potentially even clinch during the stages if he can finish with 11 more stage points than Truex. Blaney just needs 31 points total to clinch a spot.
