Max!\u201d The discussion centered that around how that day it became all about his character, Luke Danes\u2019 butt and he said \u201cobjectifying somebody\u2019s body part\u201d isn\u2019t okay.<\/p>\n<p>In the show, Lauren Graham\u2019s character and her co-worker character, played by Melissa McCarthy, talk about his butt after McCarthy\u2019s character \u201caccidentally touched\u201d his butt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI realized it wasn\u2019t OK, and it didn\u2019t make me feel comfortable at all,\u201d Patterson shared. \u201cIt made me feel really embarrassed, actually,\u201d Patterson shared. \u201cIt is infuriating to be treated that way \u2014 it is infuriating \u2014 because you\u2019re being treated like an object.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u2018Gilmore Girls\u2019 Actor Scott Patterson Recalls Feeling Objectified During Season 3 Scene: \u201cIt Is Infuriating\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7CJ0RuRqYk\">https:\/\/t.co\/7CJ0RuRqYk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/THR\/status\/1562688502378033153?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 25, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s disturbing, and it\u2019s disgusting, and I had to endure that through that entire scene and many takes,\u201d he added. \u201cIt was all about the butt, the butt, the butt, the butt. And then when we weren\u2019t filming, we were sitting down \u2014 people were still talking about the butt, the butt, the butt. It was the most disturbing time I have ever spent on that set, and I couldn\u2019t wait for that day to be over.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s as disgusting for women to objectify men as it is for men to objectify women, and it\u2019s as harmful,\u201d the actor continued later in the segment. \u201cJust because it was 2003 doesn\u2019t mean it was OK. It\u2019s never OK, and I didn\u2019t feel comfortable doing it, and it pissed me off. And I never said anything, so I was angry at myself for never saying anything.
