I\u2019m trying to be in tune with my body as much as I possibly can,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was never against vaccination,\u201d the athlete said,\u00a0\u201cbut I\u2019ve always supported the freedom to choose what you put in your body.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the tennis star echoed the same and noted that an exemption, which he has not been granted, was unlikely.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not vaccinated and I\u2019m not planning to get vaccinated,\u201d Djokovic said, <a href=\"https:\/\/au.sports.yahoo.com\/novak-djokovic-now-faces-lengthy-080925274.html\">according<\/a> to Yahoo! Sports. \u201cSo the only good news I can have is them removing the mandated green vaccine card or whatever you call it to enter the United States or exemption.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think exemption is realistically possible,\u201d he added. \u201cI think it\u2019s just whether or not they remove this in time for me to get to the USA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Djokovic has already had to sacrifice for this principle. The tennis star in January was dramatically <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/novak-djokovic-loses-visa-appeal-deported-from-australia\">detained and deported<\/a> from Australia over his vaccination status, rendering him unable to defend his Australian Open title.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has affected me definitely in the first several months of the year,\u201d Djokovic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/john-mcenroe-blasts-politicians-for-vax-mandate-blocking-novak-djokovic-from-u-s-open\">said<\/a> of the ordeal. \u201cI was not feeling great generally.
