Wade<\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/28\/companies-eager-to-subsidize-abortion-because-they-think-only-childless-women-are-profitable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dozens of woke U.S. companies<\/a> including the Walt Disney Company pledged to subsidize out-of-state abortions for their female employees, Disney subsidiary Hulu quietly <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/24\/hulu-slashes-parental-leave-disney-boosts-abortion-benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cut back<\/a> its maternity and paternity leave from 20 weeks to eight. <\/p>\n<p>New data from the Society for Human Resource Management as reported in The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-surprising-benefit-some-companies-are-taking-awayparental-leave-11661125605?mod=business_lead_pos4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wall Street Journal<\/a> indicates that Hulu is not alone in the decision to scale back benefits for working parents. Of the 3,000 companies surveyed by SHRM, the number of employers offering paid maternity leave \u201cbeyond what is required by law\u201d dropped from 53 percent in 2020 to 35 percent in 2022, reportedly to \u201cconfront inflation, anticipate a recession and try to re-establish prepandemic norms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Where was that financial savviness and urgency in June when human resource departments at these Fortune 500 firms and Wall Street giants were tripping over themselves to guarantee the deaths of unborn children so they could keep women working?  <\/p>\n<p>Ever since the <em>Dobbs v. Jackson <\/em>decision, it\u2019s become increasingly clear that the political left and its institutional allies such as big business have no interest in helping or supporting mothers.<\/p>\n<p>Think about it. Despite the fact that nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/23\/poll-nearly-2-in-3-americans-support-public-funding-for-pregnancy-clinics-democrats-want-to-shut-down\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2 in every 3 Americans<\/a> support public funding for them, it was leftists like Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren who called for life-saving pregnancy clinics to be shut down.<\/p>\n<p>When radical pro-abortionists under the name \u201cJane\u2019s Revenge\u201d violently attacked dozens of clinics, churches, and pro-life organizations dedicated to aiding pregnant women and a group called \u201cRuth Sent Us\u201d harrassed Republican-nominated SCOTUS justices, federal law enforcement showed little to no interest in pursuing or prosecuting those threats.  <\/p>\n<p>Instead of condemning the attacks on the facilities that offer help to the vulnerable women abortion activists often tout, Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/21\/pro-choice-democrats-demand-google-block-search-results-for-crisis-pregnancy-centers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">demanded<\/a> Big Tech nuke search results for pregnancy centers which they smear as \u201cfake clinics.\u201d Some, such as Michigan\u2019s Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, went so far as to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/25\/in-show-of-pro-abortion-brutality-gov-gretchen-whitmer-just-slashed-care-for-pregnant-women-from-michigans-budget\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cut care<\/a> for pregnant women out of state budgets. <\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the Biden administration and blue politicians are pushing to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/22\/biden-regime-targets-red-states-religious-voters-in-latest-push-to-normalize-unpopular-abortion-radicalism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">normalize unpopular abortion radicalism<\/a> and punish Republican states for caring for babies <em>and<\/em> mothers. <\/p>\n<p>Since several Republican states acted swiftly to restrict or ban abortion, it\u2019s fair to assume that there will be an uptick in pregnant women, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/post-dobbs-era-universities-must-step-support-pregnant-students-opinion-1735825\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">especially young women,<\/a> seeking assistance and care for a baby they might have previously considered aborting. But the left\u2019s increasingly hostile stance toward women having children isn\u2019t going to help those women navigate their pregnancies. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s no secret that it\u2019s cheaper for companies to pay for out-of-state abortions than to give working mothers the flexibility they need to stay engaged as a parent to a newborn child. That\u2019s why so many companies have adopted policies designed to keep women childless and are dropping others that affirm a working mom\u2019s decision to have a baby. <\/p>\n<p>The left likes to lie that abortion is meant to empower women and give them the \u201cright to choose.\u201d But what about the women who choose to get or stay pregnant?
