The claim stems from a satirical website.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The CDC announced plans Aug. 18 for a \u201creset\u201d of the agency to address failures that were made apparent by its response to the coronavirus pandemic, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefiscaltimes.com\/2022\/08\/18\/CDC-Announces-Major-Overhaul-After-Botched-Covid-Response\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Fiscal Times<\/a>. It also recently relaxed COVID-19 rules on isolation, testing and distancing, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/cd-cs-relaxed-covid-rules-reasonable-or-reckless-194011272.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Yahoo News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Now, a Facebook post claims CDC Director Rochelle Walensky purportedly met with pharmaceutical manufacturers, including Pfizer and Bavarian Nordic A\/S, to develop a \u201chybrid\u201d vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe mainstream media\u2019s vitriol of President Donald J. Trump has of late supplanted its second favorite topic, trying to scare shitless the people who still believe Covid-19 is a threat to the nation,\u201d reads part of the post. \u201cBut absence of media coverage hasn\u2019t stopped the CDC\u2019s vile director, Rochelle Walensky, from pushing forth a new agenda that could sicken or kill even more millions of gullible Americans\u2014she has advocated for the creation of a \u2018CovidPox\u2019 vaccine, a hybrid drug that, she says, will inoculate citizens against both emerging strains of Covid and Monkeypox.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The claim is false. There is likewise no mention of such a hybrid vaccine on the websites of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modernatx.com\/search?initialQuery=covidpox&amp;filter=&amp;sort=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Moderna<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pfizer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pfizer<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bavarian-nordic.com\/search.aspx?search=covidpox\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bavarian Nordic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A keyword search reveals the claim stems from an <a href=\"https:\/\/realrawnews.com\/2022\/08\/cdc-pushes-for-hybrid-covidpox-vaccine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aug. 19 article<\/a> published by the website Real Raw News.
