At the hands of vindictive Black Lives Matter groupies and other self-described racial justice activists, the Wisconsin town went up in flames two years ago today.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rogues started fires at government buildings. They set ablaze garbage trucks and torched upwards of 100 vehicles in the car lot owned by an Indian immigrant, smashing the windows of those who escaped the inferno. They vandalized the post office and a high school, and their flames <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/09\/03\/after-a-century-serving-kenosha-rodes-camera-shop-is-a-pile-of-ashes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">completely consumed<\/a> a century-old camera shop. <\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s only a fraction of what followed the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/08\/31\/why-kenosha-police-officers-use-of-force-on-jacob-blake-was-justified\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">justified police shooting<\/a> of Jacob Blake.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><\/figure>\n<p>Boarded up windows were scrawled with messages begging rioters to pass over them: \u201cPLEASE, KIDS ABOVE\u201d and \u201cTHE ELDERLY LIVE HERE.\u201d Demonstrators taunted the scant law enforcers posted outside the courthouse. And when Wisconsin\u2019s Democrat Gov. Tony Evers refused to send enough National Guardsmen after a full 24 hours of rioting despite locals\u2019 pleas for help \u2014 he <a href=\"https:\/\/empowerwisconsin.org\/evers-and-allies-try-to-rewrite-kenosha-riot-history\/\">sent<\/a> more troops to Milwaukee during the NBA finals \u2014 armed citizens <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/11\/22\/kyle-rittenhouse-and-every-able-bodied-man-had-a-moral-obligation-to-protect-kenosha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stepped up to defend<\/a> property and ultimately themselves, resulting in the deaths of two people.<\/p>\n<p>That was two years ago. Now we\u2019re watching the House Jan. 6 Committee\u2019s Stalinist show trial for Americans who participated in the riot at the U.S. Capitol \u2014 and many who didn\u2019t \u2014 on Jan. 6, 2021. Last November, we witnessed a courtroom drama for a 17-year-old kid who defended his life with a firearm during the riots but was slandered by legacy media as a white supremacist and a murderer. <\/p>\n<p>Now, after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/over-60-people-including-6-juveniles-charged-connection-2020-kenosha-protests-1663740\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more than 60 people<\/a> have been charged with crimes related to the Kenosha riots, with supposedly many more to come, why has there been no large-scale investigation into these deadly riots, the players behind them, and the destructive ideology that sparked it all? Despite Democrats\u2019 constant talk about Donald Trump\u2019s \u201cbig lie,\u201d they fall silent when confronted with evidence their race obsession can spur lethal race revolutions. <\/p>\n<p>That obsession and its effects are based on a lie. And it\u2019s a big one.<\/p>\n<h2>The Big Lie<\/h2>\n<p>The entire Kenosha scene was sparked by one police shooting, which corporate media and other leftists instantly branded evidence of racism.\u00a0Celebrities claimed, contrary to available evidence, that police \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KevinHart4real\/status\/1298268890032508933\">shoot first &#038; detain second<\/a>\u201d and that Blake \u201ccould have been grabbed\u2026he could have been tased\u2026.He could have immediately been stopped when he started walking around the car.\u201d LeBron James characterized it as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BleacherReport\/status\/1298108431815995393\">police brutality towards my kind<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Evers framed the incident as yet another \u201cBlack man or person\u201d \u201cshot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement.\u201d Joe Biden\u00a0escalated the race-baiting with the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/08\/31\/why-kenosha-police-officers-use-of-force-on-jacob-blake-was-justified\/\">same<\/a> framing.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this was all a lie. Police were actually responding to an emergency call from Blake\u2019s girlfriend, who said he wasn\u2019t permitted on the property and had snatched her keys. Before officers even arrived at the scene, they knew Blake had a warrant out for his arrest for charges of disorderly conduct connected to domestic abuse, third-degree sexual assault, and trespassing. Before they ever fired a gun, officers had Tased him twice to no avail, and Blake had reached into the vehicle, where a weapon was later <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/08\/27\/police-recover-weapon-from-vehicle-of-wisconsin-shooting-victim-jacob-blake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recovered<\/a> on the floorboards and three kids were in the backseat, which police knew because their mom reportedly \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/08\/31\/why-kenosha-police-officers-use-of-force-on-jacob-blake-was-justified\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">kept screaming that<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>But this lie \u2014 that the Blake shooting represented routine police brutality toward black people \u2014 is not surprising because it\u2019s all part of the left\u2019s much bigger racism lie.<\/p>\n<p>They <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2021\/04\/22\/nbc-deceptively-edits-911-call-and-body-cam-video-of-police-shooting-to-conceal-teen-wielding-knife\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lied<\/a> about knife-wielding black teen Ma\u2019Khia Bryant. They <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2021\/04\/16\/cbs-news-edited-police-body-cam-video-to-mask-teen-holding-a-gun-before-he-was-fatally-shot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lied<\/a> about armed 13-year-old Mexican-American Adam Toledo. They <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/04\/23\/corporate-media-and-other-race-baiters-have-incited-more-violence-than-trump-ever-did\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lied<\/a> about Michael Brown. They <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/06\/23\/nascar-drivers-hate-crime-noose-was-really-a-garage-pull-rope\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lied<\/a> about Bubba Wallace and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KamalaHarris\/status\/1090361495119187969\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jussie<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CoryBooker\/status\/1090341255786184704\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Smollett<\/a>. And they lie by omission when they refuse to cover violent crimes by black perpetrators against other racial groups, as with Pakistani immigrant Mohammad Anwar, who was brutally murdered by two black teenage girls when they violently carjacked him in D.C. in the middle of the day.<\/p>\n<p>They perpetuate these lies with catchphrases, such as \u201chands up, don\u2019t shoot.\u201d They spread them in ahistorical accounts such as the \u201c1619 Project\u201d and profit from them with lectures lamenting \u201cwhite fragility\u201d and \u201csystemic racism.\u201d And they amplify them with clever branding such as \u201cBlack Lives Matter,\u201d making violent demonstrations tricky to condemn for those afraid of false racism smears.<\/p>\n<p>Corrupt media are the worst offenders, and Democrat politicos are nearly as bad. As I <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/04\/23\/corporate-media-and-other-race-baiters-have-incited-more-violence-than-trump-ever-did\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> last year about the left\u2019s response to riots: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>They\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/06\/03\/pulitzer-prize-winning-new-york-times-writer-destroying-property-isnt-violence\/\">said<\/a>, \u2018Destroying property \u2026 is not violence.\u2019 They said protests don\u2019t need to be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SteveGuest\/status\/1267987525198585856?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1267987525198585856%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefdrlst.wpengine.com%2F2021%2F01%2F07%2F28-times-media-and-democrats-excused-or-endorsed-violence-committed-by-left-wing-activists%2F\">peaceful<\/a>\u00a0and called riots a \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/slate.com\/news-and-politics\/2020\/05\/george-floyd-protests-minneapolis-police-fires.html\">proportionate response<\/a>.\u2019 They denied evidence of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Yamiche\/status\/1267192733535555585?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1267192733535555585%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefdrlst.wpengine.com%2F2021%2F01%2F07%2F28-times-media-and-democrats-excused-or-endorsed-violence-committed-by-left-wing-activists%2F\">anarchy<\/a>. They said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gq.com\/story\/why-violent-protests-work\">violence works<\/a>. They\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/craigmelvin\/status\/1266030830473940993?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1266030830473940993%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefdrlst.wpengine.com%2F2021%2F01%2F07%2F28-times-media-and-democrats-excused-or-endorsed-violence-committed-by-left-wing-activists%2F\">condemned<\/a>\u00a0the term \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/abigailmarone\/status\/1300225419678019591?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1300225419678019591%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefdrlst.wpengine.com%2F2021%2F01%2F07%2F28-times-media-and-democrats-excused-or-endorsed-violence-committed-by-left-wing-activists%2F\">riot<\/a>\u2018 as \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5849163\/why-describing-george-floyd-protests-as-riots-is-loaded\/\">loaded<\/a>,\u2019 instead calling it \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MayorJenny\/status\/1271575306587889665?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1271575306587889665%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefdrlst.wpengine.com%2F2021%2F01%2F07%2F28-times-media-and-democrats-excused-or-endorsed-violence-committed-by-left-wing-activists%2F\">democracy<\/a>.\u2019 They released a documentary claiming \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=z_hFz7b5Io4\">Riots Built America<\/a>.\u2019 And they flat-out pretended cities weren\u2019t being ravaged, with Gov. Jay Inslee saying \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JusticeTristan\/status\/1270926237859545088?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1270926237859545088%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefdrlst.wpengine.com%2F2021%2F01%2F07%2F28-times-media-and-democrats-excused-or-endorsed-violence-committed-by-left-wing-activists%2F\">That\u2019s news to me!<\/a>\u2018 when asked about the so-called Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, and Rep. Jerry Nadler calling Antifa a \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/116\/meeting\/house\/110938\/documents\/HHRG-116-JU00-20200728-SD037.pdf\">myth<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s this endless stream of lies that incites the sort of violence that overtook Kenosha. Years later, why hasn\u2019t it been investigated? <\/p>\n<h2>We Need Answers<\/h2>\n<p>I\u2019m not talking about the type of local investigations that led to charging a few dozen people with riot-related crimes. That should be a given. I\u2019m talking about a large-scale probe that drags in media defamers, a negligent governor, elite race-baiters, and riot organizers to investigate their role in this violent scene, which has played out time and again with impunity across the country. <\/p>\n<p>After all, there\u2019s precedent for that sort of trial. It arose from a riot on Jan. 6, which was far less deadly than Kenosha and was used to destroy top political opponents whose hands are clean, unlike those of Wisconsin\u2019s dud governor.<\/p>\n<p>First, we still don\u2019t know <em>who<\/em> was responsible for the rioting because it appears to be more than just individual Kenoshans. Kenosha locals were the first to tell The Federalist that the perpetrators were \u201cout-of-towners.\u201d As one local, Alvin, told The Federalist at the time, \u201cAll this destruction didn\u2019t come from Kenosha. People came in here and did this.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"0FMemGlbIts4RqpYyOEAjLJvohVr5uk1SgCXdDacP6BKQzT\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Alvin was with his young daughter, Kaya, after visiting and \u201cshedding tears\u201d with the son of a shop owner whose business was destroyed. \u201cAll this destruction didn\u2019t come from Kenosha,\u201d he said, \u201cPeople came in here and did this.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/STk5wWTWaS\">pic.twitter.com\/STk5wWTWaS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Federalist (@FDRLST) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FDRLST\/status\/1298999171928686592?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 27, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Police reports bear this out. According to a media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/7212626-Kenosha-August-302020-Update.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">release<\/a> one week after the riots began, of the 175 people who had been arrested, 102 were out-of-towners. Leftist media, of course, sicced their fake fact-checkers on the information, with USA Today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/factcheck\/2020\/09\/18\/fact-check-nearly-all-arrests-kenosha-protests-were-area\/3492839001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">saying<\/a> those figures are \u201cmissing context\u201d because most of the arrestees were from other parts of Wisconsin or Illinois, \u201cthe border of which is about 6 miles from the heart of the protests.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Leftist media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=USA+today+kyle+rittenhouse+%22across+state+lines%22&amp;rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS860US861&amp;oq=USA+today+kyle+rittenhouse+%22across+state+lines%22&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57.8661j0j7&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">discarded<\/a> this \u201ccontext,\u201d however, when they attacked Kyle Rittenhouse for traveling \u201cacross state lines\u201d from Illinois with a gun (This was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/factcheck\/2020\/09\/18\/fact-check-nearly-all-arrests-kenosha-protests-were-area\/3492839001\/\">lie<\/a> anyway. He didn\u2019t bring the firearm across state lines, and both Rittenhouse\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/news\/michael-mike-rittenhouse-kyle-father\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">father and lifeguarding job<\/a> were reportedly in Kenosha.). <\/p>\n<p>As Empower Wisconsin reporter Matt Kittle <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/08\/28\/police-break-up-apparent-antifa-plot-to-light-kenosha-on-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">detailed<\/a>, police also stopped a bus containing Seattle-based group Riot Kitchen in Kenosha after they filled up multiple gas cans. While media were quick to parrot the group\u2019s excuse that they needed the gasoline to power generators, that leaves bigger questions unanswered. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPolice say the vehicles contained various items, including helmets, gas masks, protective vests, illegal fireworks, and suspected controlled substances. Nine individuals were arrested for disorderly conduct and are awaiting charging decisions by the Kenosha County district attorney, according to the incident report,\u201d Kittle reported at the time. \u201c\u2026What the [media] stories couldn\u2019t explain is why members of the organization were loading up so many cans of gas, and why the Riot Kitchen crew in the minivan fled from police.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sure sounds like something a Select Committee on Aug. 23 might want to get to the bottom of. What was Riot Kitchen really doing in Kenosha, what percentage of the rioters came from out of state, and who funded their activities? What about the rioters who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/factcheck\/2020\/09\/18\/fact-check-nearly-all-arrests-kenosha-protests-were-area\/3492839001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">descended from<\/a> Oregon, California, Kentucky, Minnesota, Indiana, and California? Where else did demonstrators come from, and did someone send them?<\/p>\n<p>If it\u2019s true, as Molly Ball admitted in a jaw-dropping Time magazine <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5936036\/secret-2020-election-campaign\/\">article<\/a> about the rigged 2020 election, that alliances of left-wing activists and corporate power players can control so-called \u201cprotests,\u201d which of these puppet-masters were involved in coordinating the Kenosha riots? If none of those people actively instigated these riots, why didn\u2019t they work to \u201ccurtail\u201d them, as Ball says they\u2019re able to do, before they turned violent?<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, partisans on the Jan. 6 Committee squeezed every last salacious soundbite possible out of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/policy-and-politics\/2021\/12\/14\/22834009\/fox-texts-trump-meadows-ingraham-hannity-capitol-riot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">texts<\/a> to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, urging him to tell the president to stop the riots. But what about Evers\u2019 text messages? Who advised the governor to twiddle his thumbs rather than call in reinforcements? What was the chatter like after that negligence led to shots fired? <\/p>\n<p>And how about communication among members of the slanderous media? Which editors and producers greenlighted the framing of the Blake killing as police brutality and the ensuing violence as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/08\/27\/cnn-chyron-on-kenosha-fiery-but-mostly-peaceful-protests-after-police-shooting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fiery but mostly peaceful<\/a>\u201c? Which publishers have so far been held accountable for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenation.com\/article\/society\/kyle-rittenhouse-verdict\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">printing<\/a> that Rittenhouse is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/whoopi-goldberg-kyle-rittenhouse-murder-acquittal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">murderer<\/a>? Perhaps President Joe Biden should be called to testify before a committee for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/psaki-on-biden-calling-rittenhouse-a-white-supremacist-the-president-believes-in-condemning-hatred-divison-violence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">labeling<\/a> the teen a \u201cwhite supremacist\u201d \u2014 or have his home raided to fish for any scrap of paper where he might have scribbled a Kenosha-related note. <\/p>\n<h2>Justice for All<\/h2>\n<p>As the Jan. 6 Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/january6th.house.gov\/news\/press-releases\/select-committee-subpoenas-five-members-congress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">subpoenas<\/a> fellow lawmakers, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/03\/trump-trade-adviser-peter-navarro-indicted-on-contempt-of-congress-charges-from-jan-6-witch-hunt-probe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">indicts<\/a> political opponents, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clayandbuck.com\/despicable-69-year-old-cancer-patient-grandma-to-be-jailed-for-jan-6-trespassing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">throws<\/a> 69-year-old grandmothers with cancer into federal prison for trespassing, two years have passed without any probe of the big racism lie that incited mob violence in Kenosha. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s clear what ideology led to the riots. It\u2019s <em>not<\/em> clear to what extent individual players are responsible. Perhaps it\u2019s time to assemble an Aug. 23 Select Committee that, instead of engaging in partisan theater, actually gets to the bottom of the violence to provide justice for victims and to prevent this nightmare from repeating itself. <\/p>\n<p>The American people might actually tune in to a trial like that.
