It makes sense, then, that former Vice President Mike Pence was <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/22\/mike-pence-is-wrong-doj-and-fbi-rot-spreads-way-deeper-than-garland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">among those to make it<\/a>. \u201cThe Republican Party is the party of law and order,\u201d he said last week in New Hampshire. \u201cOur party stands with the men and women who serve on the thin blue line at the federal, state, and local levels. These attacks on the FBI must stop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If you didn\u2019t react to that by gagging, I assume you haven\u2019t been following the shockingly fast deterioration of the FBI as a legitimate agency. Here\u2019s a cursory review of its greatest hits in recent years:<\/p>\n<p>\u2014This year, for the first time ever, FBI agents <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/09\/search-warrant-or-not-americans-wont-believe-the-fbi-raid-on-trumps-florida-home-was-justified\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raided the home of a former president<\/a>, who has endured more scrutiny by that same agency than any president in history. The latest information indicates that it was for the purpose of retrieving \u201csocial media records\u201d (?) and documents of \u201cofficial business\u201d that Trump White House aides \u201chad conducted on their personal electronic messaging accounts.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the gravity of the situation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/08\/20\/us\/politics\/trump-fbi-search.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">as described<\/a> by the New York Times: tweets and clerical notes. Not that I\u2019m in favor of illegally retraining government property, but this should have been nothing more than a drawn-out legal fight wherein courts simply order Trump to hand over anything that didn\u2019t belong to him. Multiple times, if needed. That\u2019s our legal process. And recall that Empress Hillary and her henchmen took the duration of an entire presidential campaign to print out thousands of copies \u2014 on <em>physical paper<\/em>! \u2014of government emails she had illegally withheld after her tenure as secretary of state. That took forever, yet her private residence remained unmolested by trigger-happy FBI agents.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014At this very moment there\u2019s a criminal trial wherein the FBI is proven to have <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/08\/jury-refuses-to-convict-men-entrapped-by-fbi-in-whitmer-kidnapping-plot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">instigated and encouraged a conspiracy<\/a> to kidnap a sitting governor. The plot was carried along by FBI informants, FBI agents, and FBI money. These aren\u2019t accusations. These are facts that have been substantiated in court.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014An exhaustive review of the FBI\u2019s desperate investigation into Trump\u2019s links to Russia found: Agents <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/19\/handwritten-notes-from-2017-show-fbi-agents-mislead-doj-on-the-trump-russia-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lied to obtain warrants<\/a> allowing them to spy on Trump\u2019s campaign; overwhelming documented evidence shows agents involved were outright hostile to his 2016 candidacy; and the agency relied on fabricated materials from Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/29\/emails-surface-more-evidence-hillary-clinton-paid-for-anti-trump-disinformation-operation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">political opposition<\/a> to justify its probe.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014By my count, we are on about mass shooting No. 5 billion wherein the gunman was <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/03\/30\/an-fbi-so-corrupt-it-lets-mass-shooters-rampage-needs-to-go\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">on the FBI\u2019s \u201cradar\u201d<\/a> yet still managed to end and ruin the lives of countless men, women, and children.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014Along with every other federal agency, the FBI is on a multi-year campaign agitating racial divisions by hyping up the nonexistent threat of \u201cwhite supremacy.\u201d In 2019, two of the FBI\u2019s top officials delivered a statement to Congress on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbi.gov\/news\/testimony\/confronting-white-supremacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cconfronting white supremacy,\u201d<\/a> in which they testified that \u201cindividuals adhering to racially motivated violent extremism ideology have been responsible for the most lethal incidents among domestic terrorists in recent years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of the embarrassingly thin body of work that the federal government has made public to back up this claim, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/17\/congrats-to-the-media-for-finally-finding-a-white-supremacist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">none of it actually does<\/a>. They either throw out some number of \u201cincidents\u201d without any citations to trace, or they offer up examples that have nothing to do with white supremacy. (Like when a white guy who supposedly belonged to a white prison gang shoots a white cop. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Liberal-Misery-Hateful-Everything-Everyone\/dp\/1637584350\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Classic racial violence!<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Emboldening this kind of extreme incompetence, when it\u2019s not outright corruption, is not pro-law enforcement. It\u2019s the opposite.
