A special master was appointed in 2018 to review former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/ex-trump-lawyer-cohen-pleads-guilty-in-deal-with-prosecutors_2629787.html\">pleaded guilty<\/a> to tax evasion and other felony charges later that year.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI agents had taken \u201cprivileged and\/or potentially privileged materials\u201d such as photos, handwritten notes, and multiple Trump passports, the filing said, which they said were \u201coutside the lawful reach of an already overboard warrant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLaw enforcement is a shield that protects Americans.
