While some exports have resumed, the world is still suffering from an unprecedented food crisis as a result of the war, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/commodities\/first-ship-bound-africa-leaves-ukraine-port-2022-08-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World Food Programme<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook video claims to show Ukrainian farmers harvesting grain in a field after Russian shelling set part of the field on fire. Tractors can be seen harvesting the unburned crops as the fire spreads. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/03\/14\/fact-check-ukraine-farmer-russian-jet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did A Ukrainian Farmer Capture A Russian Military Jet?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cRussia is deliberately shelling Ukrainian fields in order to destroy crops and cause food shortages,\u201d the post\u2019s caption reads in part. \u201cThere\u2019s not always much time and equipment to put out the fire, so Ukrainian farmers harvest grains right in front of the fire, competing with the flame to get the crop first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Russian artillery strikes have reportedly destroyed Ukrainian grain fields within the last month, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-07-14\/grain-fields-aflame-are-the-latest-threat-to-ukrainian-farmers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bloomberg<\/a>, t<span>he video\u2019s caption is incorrect. A reverse image search revealed the original clip was posted to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4CwJTAobDIw\"><span>YouTube<\/span><\/a><span> July 18 where it is titled, \u201cWheat Fire.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cA fire started while the farmers were harvesting this years wheat crops,\u201d reads the video\u2019s description. \u201cThere were no injuries or loss of farm equipment. Crop loss is unknown. Location: Crystal Road and Spencer Rd, Crystal Township, Montcalm County, Michigan.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>A Montcalm County firefighter confirmed in an email to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/factcheck\/2022\/08\/12\/fact-check-video-shows-wheat-field-fire-michigan-not-ukraine\/10264198002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">USA Today<\/a> that the video was filmed in the location listed by the YouTube video.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time Ukrainian farmers have been the subject of viral misinformation.
