Andy Barr (R-Ky.) said Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-liz-cheney\">Liz Cheney<\/a>\u2019s (R-Wyo.) defeat last week against a GOP challenger revealed a \u201cmassive disconnect\u201d between politicians in Washington and Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Republican voters, he said, don\u2019t care about the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach. And there is a massive, massive disconnect between the priorities of politicians in Washington and the concerns of the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barr said that Republicans are going to pick up seats in the House because they are \u201claser-focused on what the American people actually care about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re talking about not being able to afford putting food on the table, putting gas in their trucks, \u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s what the American people care about. And politicians who obsess about the past are not in touch with the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Cheney\u2019s Future <\/p>\n<p>Cheney, who voted to impeach President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-donald-trump\">Donald Trump<\/a> during his second impeachment inquiry a week before the end of his term, was handily defeated by Trump-endorsed Republican challenger Harriet Hageman last week for the Republican nomination for Wyoming\u2019s at-large seat.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/GettyImages-492450237.jpg\"><\/a> Rep.
