Sears said that she believes public education in America has risen to the level of a national security crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Bartiromo began the conversation by pointing out that Sears and Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) have prioritized the fight against CRT in schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know education to you changes everything as well,\u201d Bartiromo said. \u201cThis has been a major focus for you, and yet here too, bad policy in terms of CRT and focusing on issues away from strengthening our students to make them best compete with the Chinese, with all adversaries across the world as they get older.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m glad you stated it that way when you talk about the Chinese, the Russians, etc., because that\u2019s what I\u2019ve elevated our children not learning to,\u201d Sears responded. \u201cThis is a national security crisis. When so many of our children are not learning, we\u2019re in trouble. We need STEM education. Heavens, we need children who can just read and write. How about that? And add one plus one. We don\u2019t have that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are losing to the China\u2019s [of the world], to the Russia\u2019s, even Estonia is beating us in math,\u201d she continued. \u201cIn science and technology, we\u2019re losing. We need to have education up here now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re talking about the future of America. When we talk about the future of America, we\u2019re talking about our children and grandchildren. Elections, they\u2019re about them. It\u2019s about hope and the future, and we\u2019re not getting there, and we\u2019re not getting there very fast.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sears urged voters across the country to push for change and make their voices heard in the 2022 midterms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve got the polls open. Show the leaders that they\u2019re not listening to you.
