And since he did declassify items, why is it an alleged crime now to possess those documents? I may have the beginnings of an answer.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s indisputable that the president <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2022\/08\/trumps-declassification-claims-cant-be-discounted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">may classify and declassify documents<\/a>. The office of the president has had this authority since World War II. President Obama codified the executive authority to do it in an Executive Order. Even the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2022\/08\/13\/trump-warrant-classified-answers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Post<\/a><\/em> had to admit that.<\/p>\n<p>Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov\/presidential-actions\/memorandum-declassification-certain-materials-related-fbis-crossfire-hurricane-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">declassified\u00a0<\/a>documents pertaining to the Russia collusion hoax and the Hillary Clinton email scandal in 2020 and 2021. Trump and his ally and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) representative, Kash Patel, wanted these in the <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/weeks-mar-lago-search-trump-dod-official-vowed\/story?id=88461618\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">public domain<\/a>.\u00a0According to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/weeks-mar-lago-search-trump-dod-official-vowed\/story?id=88461618\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News<\/a>, Trump wanted these declassified documents reported on Just the News and Kash Patel\u2019s website. This is why Patel immediately believed, following the raid on August 8, that the issue was about scuttling all of the Russia collusion documents. He was planning to put them on his website to explain how the FBI, CIA, Hillary Clinton\u2019s campaign, the Perkins Coie law firm, and too many more to mention conspired to destroy Trump with this fake scandal.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Related: <\/strong><a class=\"hl\" title=\"Feds Swear Trump Investigation Was in &#039;EARLY STAGES&#039; When FBI Stormed Mar-a-Lago. Oh, Really?<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The argument is over what Trump did after he stood \u201cover a set of documents and sa[id] these are now declassified,\u201d as former Defense Department Chief of Staff Patel told Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo last Sunday. Patel said 60% of the documents had been released already, but Trump and Patel wanted all of the documents in the public in order to display the deep state treachery. He thinks the FBI staged the raid to keep them under wraps forever.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why President Trump made it his mission to declassify and be transparent,\u201d Patel told Bartiromo. \u201cIn October 2020, he issued a sweeping declassification order for every single Russiagate document and every single Hillary Clinton document. Then, on the way out of the White House, he issued further declassification orders declassifying whole sets of documents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former national security federal prosecutor told Bartiromo, \u201cAnd that is done with definitive action immediately, but the fact that the bureaucrats at NARA who referred \u2014 remember the National Archives (NARA) are the ones who referred this to the Department of Justice, but they, the same principle, failed to refer the Hillary Clinton to the Department of Justice when they got their hands on the classified emails from those servers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Patel said on a podcast before the raid that \u201cWhite House counsel and company disobeyed a presidential order and implemented federal governmental bureaucracy on the way out to basically send the stash to the National Archives, and now that\u2019s where it\u2019s at,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/weeks-mar-lago-search-trump-dod-official-vowed\/story?id=88461618\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News<\/a>. We don\u2019t know why at this point.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Davis, President of the Article III Project, says that if presidents were prosecuted for espionage, President Obama would have been busted for secretly telling the Russian president in 2012 that he\u2019d have more time to negotiate with Vlad after the 2012 election. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mrddmia\/status\/1557873632205975552?s=20&amp;t=uWJQLYqwV1DWEUjnDNQJWw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He wasn\u2019t<\/a> \u201cbecause he\u2019s the president! The FBI Director and Attorney General <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/news-and-politics\/victoria-taft\/2022\/08\/16\/trump-to-doj-show-us-what-you-got-release-the-affidavit-behind-fbi-raid-on-mar-a-lago-n1621464\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">greenlit a raid<\/a> before an election, accusing a former president of <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/news-and-politics\/victoria-taft\/2022\/08\/17\/bombshell-outing-of-trump-raid-leaker-shatters-fbi-document-excuse-now-all-eyes-are-on-affidavit-hearing-n1621624\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">violating the Espionage Act<\/a> while the two sides were still negotiating moving documents to NARA. Trump has been out of office for less than two years. It took the same archivist <em>years<\/em> to come to an agreement with former President Obama about the 30 million pages of records of his that NARA demanded. And did that same librarian ever encourage a raid of Hillary Clinton when she destroyed documents that were under a preservation order by Congress? If he did, it never happened.<\/p>\n<p>But what if Joe Biden <em>reclassified<\/em> those documents to set up the pretext for the raid? Can Trump be prosecuted for having the documents?<\/p>\n<p>Former U.S. diplomat Scott R. Anderson told the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/donald-trump-mar-a-lago-declassifying-government-documents-11660872761\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wall Street Journal<\/a><\/em> that, even if Trump declassified the documents, \u201cit would not be hard for the Biden administration to reclassify them.\u201d The former government attorney also said, \u201cI don\u2019t see any barrier to that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2022\/08\/trumps-declassification-claims-cant-be-discounted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">writes<\/a> that Trump may not have done enough to declassify the documents, though it is indisputable that he has the authority to classify and declassify. He notes parenthetically, \u201cI assume just to be on the safe side, the Biden administration has re-classified whatever information Trump says he declassified.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The classification issue may have been chaff that the DOJ deployed to distract the media, along with the leak of the nuclear secrets.<\/p>\n<p>As law professor\u00a0Margot Cleveland <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/15\/from-bureaucrat-hack-to-grand-jury-witch-hunt-the-dojs-trump-raid-smells-like-spygate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">writes<\/a> in The Federalist, the classification of the documents isn\u2019t essential to the DOJ\u2019s charges. The Feds \u201cconvened a grand jury, accused a president of being [a spy] \u2013 they went to a grand jury with that, Maria, so once again, this is a continued investigation of Trump and the Republican Party. It\u2019s basically an investigation in search of a crime. And then conveniently they brought back the Mueller witch hunt argument that \u2018Oh, my God, he\u2019s obstructing justice!\u2019 Obstructing justice on what, you jerks?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Trump media executive and former House Intelligence Chairman said that \u201cthe people who have been involved in all the scandals \u2026 the very same people who are now in charge of the DOJ and are at the White House\u201d are running this operation, including Jake Sullivan, Hillary\u2019s former campaign aide who helped seed the fake Russia collusion narrative as we learned in <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/news-and-politics\/victoria-taft\/2022\/05\/20\/hillary-tweet-approving-trump-russia-disinfo-comes-back-to-bite-her-campaign-boss-at-sussmann-trial-n1599491\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">court testimony<\/a>. He\u2019s now Biden\u2019s National Security Adviser.<\/p>\n<p>Patel agreed. \u201cYou know, as a former national security prosecutor, in this national security division where this case is being run out of, it\u2019s no surprise that the likes of John Carlin, who was the assistant attorney general for national security, who authorized the Russiagate hoax, to begin with, is now the number three official at DOJ. And Lisa Monaco is the number two official who was his superior back then. Now that this is a quote-unquote \u2018ongoing FBI counterintelligence investigation,\u2019 they will be able to come out to the American public and say \u2018ongoing CI investigation. You will never be able to see the Russiagate docs or any other docs that President Trump lawfully declassified, and they will hide it from the public.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you don\u2019t think these people were involved you\u2019ve been living under a rock somewhere,\u201d Nunes added.<\/p>\n<p>So the same DOJ and FBI who lied to the FISA court to get warrants to spy on Trump\u2019s campaign and presidency using made-up Hillary Clinton opposition research are operating the Trump raid. The last time, they used fake news to allege Trump was a Russian secret agent.<\/p>\n<p>Has Biden reclassified these documents to hide the evidence?
