Incumbent Gaetz will face two GOP challengers\u2014Mark Lombardo, a Marine veteran and former FedEx executive, and Greg Merk, a retired military officer and pilot.<\/p>\n<p>Merk <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Florida%27s_1st_Congressional_District_election,_2020\">lost<\/a> to Gaetz in Florida\u2019s 2020 GOP primary, finishing a distant third with 9.5 percent of the vote to Gaetz\u2019s 80.9 percent.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2019\/12\/05\/matt-gaetz-2-1200x788.jpg\"><\/a> Rep.
