I can\u2019t imagine that would occur,\u201d Romney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deseret.com\/utah\/2022\/8\/18\/23310635\/mitt-romney-about-liz-cheney-for-president?fbclid=IwAR1h2SaK9iTuBQro32ICNDN1aRTgM3tthUDmwKZfUmNQUfilfTgRM-B5X_4\">told Deseret News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cheney said this week that she\u2019s considering running for president, but has not decided yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s a decision that I\u2019m going to make in the coming months,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/liz-cheney-says-shes-thinking-about-running-for-president-after-primary-loss_4670484.html\">she said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cheney was speaking hours after she was defeated in the Republican nomination for Wyoming\u2019s at-large seat representing the state in the U.S. House of Representatives.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer Harriet Hageman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/liz-cheney-loses-wyoming-primary-to-trump-endorsee-harriet-hageman_4666688.html\">trumped Cheney<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cheney has become one of the most vocal voices in the Republican Party against former President Donald Trump. She was one of 10 House Republicans to vote to impeach Trump. She is one of two Republicans on the Democrat-dominated House panel investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol. And she has said she\u2019ll work to try to make sure Trump is not elected in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Trump endorsed Hageman, and said Cheney\u2019s loss should send her into \u201cpolitical oblivion.\u201d Trump has hinted he will run for a third time in 2024, though no candidates have formally declared.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Liz-Cheney-GettyImages-1242549757-1200x799-1.jpg\"><\/a> Rep. Fallon\/AFP via Getty Images) 2024 <\/p>\n<p>Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, told Deseret News that he is not collaborating with Cheney at all with regards to the potential 2024 bid and doesn\u2019t foresee anybody \u201coutside the Trump circle\u201d having a realistic chance of earning the Republican nomination in two years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he doesn\u2019t run again, I think it\u2019ll be people who either were supporters of his or<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rep.
