Whitmer\u2019s lawsuit sought to supersede the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(rapqukebj2oxjekw3rbcyy0z))\/mileg.aspx?page=getobject&amp;objectname=mcl-750-14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">1931 trigger law<\/a> which would go into effect following the then-impending Supreme Court decision to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/roe-v-wade-overturned-supreme-court-dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health\/\">overturn Roe v.
