You don\u2019t do it,\u201d said Dr. Mark Sherwood, a retired 24-year veteran of the Tulsa Police Department and 10-year member of the department\u2019s SWAT Team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t be surprised if some charges are filed\u2014even if the evidence is not thoroughly vetted,\u201d Sherwood said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe timing of it is curious, to say the least. You\u2019re coming into the tail end of the mid-term primaries,\u201d with Republicans poised to reclaim both chambers of Congress, he said.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20\/New-promo-headshot-1200x675.jpg\"><\/a> Dr. Mark Sherwood, a veteran police officer, naturopathic doctor, and candidate for Oklahoma said the FBI raid on Donald Trump\u2019s home in Florida was \u201cunprecedented.\u201d (Courtesy of Dr. Mark Sherwood) <\/p>\n<p>As a former law enforcement officer, Sherwood served many search warrants and knew the legal process for obtaining them.<\/p>\n<p>What he finds \u201chighly unusual\u201d was the FBI\u2019s decision to search the home of a former sitting president against all historical precedent.<\/p>\n<p>Sherwood told The Epoch Times that not even the Watergate scandal that surrounded former president Richard Nixon or the impeachment of former president Bill Clinton prompted such unprecedented action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know of anything else in history\u201d that reaches the same level, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we don\u2019t know is the total contents of the affidavit\u201d used to obtain the search warrant, Sherwood said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know there\u2019s a lot of discussion on what parts of the affidavit to release.
