Liz Cheney cried after losing her primary.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Verdict: False<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>There is no evidence to suggest Cheney cried after losing. The video was posted before the primary took place.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cheney, an ardent critic of former President Donald Trump, lost in the Republican Wyoming primary to Trump-endorsed challenger Harriet Hageman, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/2022-midterm-elections-donald-trump-presidential-wyoming-alaska-48a5444f247727d26cf67a0a72f14637\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Associated Press<\/a>. While Cheney conceded, she appears to be pondering a 2024 bid for president, the outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/2022-midterm-elections-donald-trump-presidential-wyoming-alaska-48a5444f247727d26cf67a0a72f14637\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook video, viewed over 12,000 times, claims Cheney cried after her primary loss. \u201cLiz Cheney CRIES LIKE KIDS after loses in \u2018primary\u2019 against Trump\u2019s pick\u2026Trump calls \u2018January,&#8217;\u201d reads the video\u2019s title.<\/p>\n<p>The video in the post was taken before the primary, however, and shows a segment from Newsmax\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsmaxtv.com\/Shows\/Wake-Up-America\/vid\/1_f40o6h1d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wake Up America.<\/a>\u201d No where in the clip is Cheney shown. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/05\/18\/fact-check-liz-cheney-indicted-treason-high-crimes-navy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Has Liz Cheney Been Indicted For \u2018Treason And Other High Crimes\u2019?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=cheney+cries+primary&amp;source=lnms&amp;tbm=nws&amp;sa=X&amp;ved=2ahUKEwiqy6K8mc75AhX7I0QIHU9VDssQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&amp;biw=1440&amp;bih=821&amp;dpr=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">no credible news reports<\/a> suggesting Cheney got emotional during the primary. She did cry at a July 31 groundbreaking ceremony for the Mineta-Simpson Institute at Heart Mountain Interpretive Center in Powell, Wyoming, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/politics\/liz-cheney-brought-to-tears-standing-ovation-wyoming-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">People.com<\/a>. An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwyo.edu\/uw\/news\/2022\/08\/uw-survey-finds-hageman-leading-cheney-in-wyoming-gop-primary.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aug. 11 poll<\/a> from University of Wyoming\u2019s Survey and Analysis Center showed Cheney trailing Hageman by nearly 30 points.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time misinformation about the congresswoman has circulated on social media.
