Ted Budd, decried the recent ruling.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTed Budd supports this decision to take away our constitutional freedoms. Abortion is health care, and I will not hesitate to secure this freedom in the Senate,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CheriBeasleyNC\/status\/1560036653422546944?s=20&#038;t=E-vpMIeH7oCPMQ094YiLIw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tweeted<\/a> shortly after news broke that U.S. District Judge William Osteen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsoctv.com\/news\/local\/federal-judge-reinstates-north-carolinas-20-week-abortion-ban\/MFVENA7ZC5GAROLTSPRGKTACCU\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">restored<\/a> the abortion restriction. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"934\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-18-at-1.43.02-PM-934x1024-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-277798\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-18-at-1.43.02-PM-934x1024-1.png 934w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-18-at-1.43.02-PM-274x300-1.png 274w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-18-at-1.43.02-PM-768x842-1.png 768w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-18-at-1.43.02-PM.png 1198w\"><\/figure>\n<p>Meanwhile, the corrupt press and Democrats like Beasley have gone to great lengths to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlotteobserver.com\/opinion\/article262868688.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">frame<\/a> Budd as an anti-abortion <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CheriBeasleyNC\/status\/1555651592837386240?s=20&#038;t=E-vpMIeH7oCPMQ094YiLIw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">extremist<\/a>. Senate Democrats went so far as to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs17.com\/news\/north-carolina-news\/fact-check-would-bills-sponsored-by-ted-budd-criminalize-abortion-for-women-put-doctors-in-jail\/?utm_source=t.co&#038;utm_medium=referral&#038;utm_campaign=socialflow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lie<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dscc\/status\/1542269179428065280?s=20&#038;t=E-vpMIeH7oCPMQ094YiLIw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ads<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/meet-the-press\/meetthepressblog\/democratic-group-targets-ted-budd-abortion-rcna41034\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">specifically targeting Budd\u2019s stance and voting record on abortion<\/a>. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><\/figure>\n<p>Despite their best efforts to shame Budd for being \u201cout of step\u201d with North Carolina voters\u2019 interests, it\u2019s the Democrats\u2019 preferred candidate, Beasley, who holds radical views on abortion that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/americans-support-abortion-restrictions-poll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most U.S.<\/a> and North Carolina voters strongly reject. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><\/figure>\n<p>Beasley did not respond to The Federalist\u2019s questions about whether she supports any restrictions on abortion up until the moment of birth, but her support for unlimited abortions is no secret and certainly not popular with North Carolina voters.<\/p>\n<p>A quick glance at local polling reveals a majority of voters want abortion limited to the first and part of the second trimester. Just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carolinajournal.com\/opinion\/recent-poll-offers-clues-about-future-of-n-c-abortion-policy\/\">23 percent of voters<\/a> in North Carolina say abortion should always be without restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, as detailed on her <a href=\"https:\/\/cheribeasley.com\/issue\/standing-up-for-womens-rights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">campaign website<\/a>, Beasley not only wants to eliminate the Hyde Amendment, a protection that keeps American taxpayers from funding abortions, but she also expressed explicit support for a bill that would push unlimited, on-demand abortion in all 50 states.<\/p>\n<p>The Planned Parenthood and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prochoiceamerica.org\/2022\/02\/17\/naral-pro-choice-america-endorses-cheri-beasley-for-election-to-the-us-senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NARAL endorsee<\/a> also regularly touts a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/05\/15\/beasley-budd-abortion-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cwoman\u2019s right to choose\u201d<\/a> no matter the circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongress must protect reproductive health and codify Roe v. Wade,\u201d Beasley <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220807233420\/https:\/\/www.newsobserver.com\/news\/politics-government\/election\/article261016522.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> the Raleigh News &#038; Observer in June. \u201cIt\u2019s a human right, a constitutional right, and essential health care.
