Both Giuliani and Powell worked for Trump and pushed debunked and unsubstantiated claims of election fraud, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook post shows a screengrab of a TikTok claiming Dominion lost its lawsuits against both individuals. \u201cAbsent from the news: Dominion lost their lawsuits against Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell. This is huge!\u201d reads the caption. The claim also went viral on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Pheanixs\/status\/1558570569104166912?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a>, with one version receiving over 7,300 retweets.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">HUGE NEWS!!!!! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xecwINdJlw\">pic.twitter.com\/xecwINdJlw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Maggie Ryane (@Pheanixs) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Pheanixs\/status\/1558570569104166912?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 13, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The claim is false. Check Your Fact examined the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/\">CourtListener<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/free.law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Free Law Project<\/a> website with a \u201cfully-searchable and accessible archive of court data,\u201d and found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/docket\/41955367\/us-dominion-inc-v-giuliani\/\">both<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/docket\/29090821\/us-dominion-inc-v-powell\/\">lawsuits<\/a> are still active.<\/p>\n<p>The last action in the lawsuit against Powell came on July 14 when a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/docket\/29090821\/71\/us-dominion-inc-v-powell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">withdrawal as counsel<\/a>\u201d motion was made by one of her lawyers. The latest action in the lawsuit against Giuliani occurred in March and is listed as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/docket\/41955367\/us-dominion-inc-v-giuliani\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Set\/Reset Deadlines\/Hearings<\/a>\u201d on the CourtListener website. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/12\/22\/fact-check-joe-bidens-brother-in-law-own-dominion-voting-systems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Does Joe Biden\u2019s Brother-In-Law Own Dominion Voting Systems?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hamiltonplacestrategies.com\/team\/jack-eichner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Eichner<\/a><span class=\"qu\" tabindex=\"-1\" role=\"gridcell\" translate=\"no\"><span class=\"gD\" data-hovercard-id=\"jeichner@hamiltonps.com\" data-hovercard-owner-id=\"111\">, who represents Dominion Voting Systems via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/trump-targeted-voting-company-dominion-hires-top-pr-firm-to-help-against-the-crazy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hamilton Places Strategies<\/a>, told Check Your Fact in an email that \u201cthe cases against Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell are ongoing.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Eichner directed Check Your Fact to Dominion Voting Systems\u2019 website, which has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dominionvoting.com\/legal-updates-learn-how-we-are-defending-dominion\/\">page<\/a> with updates on the legal actions the company has taken in the aftermath of the 2020 election.
