Now those kids are 13 and heading to eighth grade, Suleman shared to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/instagram\">Instagram<\/a> in a rare photo update.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst day of 8th grade. Be proud of yourselves kids for being kind, respectful, and helpful to all your fellow peers, teachers and staff,\u201d the 47-year-old wrote in the caption. \u201cYou are exceptional role models to the 6th and 7th graders. I love you. (Side note to critics: their older siblings did not want me to post a picture on their first day. They were conceived via in vitro fertilization in 2008, Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/octomom-nadya-suleman-shows-off-grown-up-kids-back-school-snap-proud-yourselves\">reported<\/a>, and Suleman has faced criticism and challenges ever since.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Suleman was a single mom of six when the eight babies were born. Fox reported that her rocky journey included a bankruptcy filing, misdemeanor welfare fraud claims, and going into rehab for Xanax addiction. The mom of 14 also worked as a stripper and made pornographic films at various points.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She expanded on these decisions during an interview in 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After explaining how it cost $5,000 per month to run her household and that she received $1,500 worth of food stamps from the government, Suleman said she felt forced to become a porn star in 2012 as it was the \u201conly industry\u201d that would accept her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t provide any more,\u201d she said in an interview with the Australian show \u201cSunday Night,\u201d Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/octomom-nadya-suleman-opens-up-about-porn-past\">reported<\/a>. \u201cThe interviews weren\u2019t coming as much and I couldn\u2019t work full time. I had too many little kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t want to do any porn. I\u2019d been celibate for \u2013 I can\u2019t even count how many years \u2013 so it was a cheap self-pleasure video which is still porn,\u201d she continued. \u201cI hit rock bottom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI sold my soul to the devil \u2014 temporarily,\u201d Suleman said, claiming her earnings for the X-rated film totaled $8,000.<\/p>\n<p>She also told Fox that she quit after finding her 10-year-old daughter playing with her stripper heels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI picked the heel up and I threw it,\u201d Suleman said during the interview. \u201cIt actually stuck in the screen.
