Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) announced that she is debating on whether to run for president herself.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Liz Cheney: &#8220;I will be doing whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Savannah: &#8220;Are you considering running for President? &#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Liz Cheney: &#8220;That&#8217;s the decision I&#8217;m gonna in coming months.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZQ9cFnGUqF\">pic.twitter.com\/ZQ9cFnGUqF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Real Mac Report (@RealMacReport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RealMacReport\/status\/1559881172515266562?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 17, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While West said he supports her, he admits Cheney running would \u201cstill be an uphill battle.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cHer loss means Trump still controls the Republican party,\u201d West stated. \u201cI mean, he has a 70 to 80 percent approval rating among Republicans. So, in primaries, it\u2019s very hard for someone hostile to Trump to do well, given the strong support that people have for the former president. He is still dominating the agenda. He dominates the news coverage. And most Republicans like what he\u2019s doing. They have not abandoned him.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Cheney has an antagonistic relationship with Trump.
