Tim Ryan by three points in Ohio. Ryan has significantly out-raised Vance, both in- and out-of-state, following a bruising seven-candidate GOP <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/03\/jd-vance-wins-ohio-senate-primary-tim-ryan\/\">primary<\/a>. Previous <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/polls\/senate\/ohio\/\">polls<\/a> had shown Ryan leading by as few as three points and as many as eleven. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/29\/key-senate-races-2022-pennsylvania-wisconsin-ron-johnson\/\">(RELATED: These Are The Most Important Senate Races In 2022)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In contrast, Cook Political Report with Amy Walter downgraded Republicans\u2019 chances at keeping the seat currently held by retiring Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey. The handicapper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2022\/08\/18\/cook-political-report-pennsylvania-senate\">moved<\/a> the race to \u201clean Democrat\u201d after ranking Pennsylvania as a \u201ctoss-up.\u201d Republican nominee Mehmet Oz has not lead a single <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/polls\/senate\/2022\/pennsylvania\/\">poll<\/a>, trailing Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman by as many as 18 points.<\/p>\n<p>FiveThirtyEight\u2019s tracker gives Democrats a <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/2022-election-forecast\/senate\/\">63%<\/a> chance at holding the Senate, with the most likely outcomes a 50-50 or 52-48 split. Democrats are defending 14 seats, while Republicans are defending 21.<\/p>\n<p>McConnell has feuded with National Republican Senatorial Committee chairman Rick Scott of Florida over campaign strategy.
