The EPA\u2019s enacted budget for 2022\u2019s fiscal year was about $9.5 billion, according to the agency figures, meaning the bill will more than quadruple the EPA\u2019s current annual spending. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/28\/dem-spending-bill-shell-80-billion-supersize-irs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Democrats Plan To Shell Out Almost $80 Billion To Supersize The IRS)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The IRS will use its $80 billion in new funding to hire <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/09\/varney-irs-small-business-audits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">87,000<\/a> new agents as well as ramp up auditing and other enforcement mechanisms. Democrats claim that these measures will raise $124 billion in revenues from increased taxpayer compliance, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.democrats.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/inflation_reduction_act_one_page_summary.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to their summary of the bill.<\/p>\n<p>The bill will give the EPA $27 billion in accordance with the Clean Air Act to start a \u2018Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund\u2019 that will finance competitive grants to fund national and regional \u201cgreen banks,\u201d which will use the money to fund initiatives and projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.democrats.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/inflation_reduction_act_of_2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the bill\u2019s text. The bill also allots $3 billion for EPA \u201cenvironmental and climate justice block grants\u201d that will help facilitate political \u201cengagement in disadvantaged communities\u201d through advisory groups, rulemakings and workshops.<\/p>\n<div id=\"rev-more-content\">\n<p>The agency will also receive $1.55 billion to pay for its methane emissions reduction program to offer financial incentives to oil and gas producers who reduce their methane emissions, according to the bill. Additionally, the EPA will get $906 million in total to finance programs that address air pollution in schools, report corporate emissions and help declare \u201cenvironmental products\u201d as well as various other initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>EPA Administrator Michael Regan touted the bill\u2019s passage through the Senate in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/newsreleases\/statement-administrator-regan-passage-inflation-reduction-act-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a> last Friday. The Democrats\u2019 huge spending bill will help accelerate EPA <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/01\/manchin-climate-deal-fund-epa-quietly-circumvent-scotus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">regulatory efforts<\/a> and other operations in order to further the Biden administration\u2019s aggressive climate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/07\/20\/fact-sheetpresident-bidens-executive-actions-on-climate-to-address-extreme-heat-and-boost-offshore-wind\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">agenda<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The White House and EPA did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
