But that\u2019s not what any of this is about. What it\u2019s about is, again, reengineering the U.S. economy, and because the energy sector is the biggest lever that\u2019s available to them in order to achieve that, that\u2019s what they continue to attack, and that\u2019s why they continue to spend the way they do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Crowley\u2019s emphasis on the environmental promises of the act is in keeping with the content of the bill itself, which entails a great deal of ink spilled over policies to reduce man-made carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere, among other provisions seemingly unrelated to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-inflation\">inflation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Inflation Reduction Act entails a broad scope of new policies, which the bill\u2019s authors summarize \u201cwill make a historic down payment on deficit reduction to fight inflation, invest in domestic energy production and manufacturing, and reduce carbon emissions by roughly 40 percent by 2030.
