The original email does not mention nuclear codes.<\/p>\n<div id=\"rev-more-content\">\n<p>The FBI executed a search warrant on Trump\u2019s Flordia residence on Aug. 8 to recover classified documents and other materials he took from the White House, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2022\/08\/13\/trump-mar-a-lago-search\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Washington Post<\/a>. Some of those documents may have pertained to nuclear weapons, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook image claims to show an email Trump sent after the raid. The email appears to make light of the reported nuclear documents and features a headline that reads \u201cThe nuke codes are 15-25-50-80.\u201d It goes on to ask for donations. The subject line of the email is \u201cMAR-A-LAGO RAIDED.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is no record of Trump sending such an email. There are no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=nuclear+codes+trump+email&#038;source=lnms&#038;tbm=nws&#038;sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwimn8DMrsn5AhUMD0QIHXBsD0UQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&#038;biw=1440&#038;bih=821&#038;dpr=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">credible news reports<\/a> about the alleged email and it does not appear on the former president\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.donaldjtrump.com\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>. It also does not appear on an <a href=\"https:\/\/politicalemails.org\/organizations\/415\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">archive<\/a> of Trump\u2019s fundraising emails. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/10\/02\/fact-check-trump-campaign-email-donations-coronavirus\/\">(RELATED: Did The Trump Campaign Email Supporters Asking For Donations To \u2018Help Him Recover\u2019 From COVID-19?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The image appears to be an altered version of an actual email Trump sent in the aftermath of the raid. New York Times reporter Shane Goldmacher shared a screenshot of the authentic email on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ShaneGoldmacher\/status\/1557010206147710978\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a>.
