So I go to my local doctor and he said, \u2018I found this little spot on your kidney.\u2019 He said, \u2018Really need to keep an eye on this.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Labonte\u2019s doctor Mohamad Allaf then details, \u201cBobby came to us because of our expertise with dealing with kidney tumors. He said, \u2018We got everything. Everything looks great.\u2019 He said, \u2018But it was cancer.\u2019 And he said it was very aggressive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo a lot of emotions came over me at that time because I was like relieved, you know, obviously, but then also like, \u2018Wow.\u2019 I mean that\u2019s crazy \u2019cause one third of the patients that are diagnosed with this don\u2019t make it,\u201d Labonte explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m\u2019 usually not the sharing type of guy,\u201d Labonte continued. \u201cYou won\u2019t know a lot of things about me, but it didn\u2019t take me long to figure out if we can help one person, just help one person, man. On August 2nd, Labonte finished 17th with Ryan Newman winning the race. The next night he finished 3rd behind Matt Hirschman and Brian Loftin.<\/p>\n<p>Labonte finished fourth in the SRX series behind series champion Marco Andretti, Ryan Newman, and Tony Stewart.
