(Michael Smith\/Getty Images) <\/p>\n<p>Cheney was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/liz-cheney-loses-wyoming-primary-to-trump-endorsee-harriet-hageman_4666688.html\">defeated<\/a> by Trump-endorsed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-harriet-hageman\">Harriet Hageman<\/a>, a natural resources attorney from Fort Laramie. As of early Wednesday morning, the Wyoming Secretary of State\u2019s Office reported (<a href=\"https:\/\/sos.wyo.gov\/Elections\/Docs\/2022\/Results\/Primary\/2022_Statewide_Candidates_Summary.pdf\">pdf<\/a>) that Hageman garnered 113,025 votes, compared to Cheney\u2019s 49,316.<\/p>\n<p>The result was not unexpected, considering that nearly 70 percent of Wyoming residents voted for Trump in the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>Cheney is one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump and serves as the co-chair of the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol breach.<\/p>\n<p>The third-term incumbent from Wyoming is the fourth Republican who voted for Trump\u2019s impeachment to be defeated by candidates endorsed by the former president. The other three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/10-house-republicans-voted-to-impeach-trump-heres-where-they-stand-today_4665234.html\">are<\/a> Reps. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/republican-who-voted-to-impeach-trump-concedes-to-pro-trump-challenger_4653792.html\">Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/challenger-defeats-michigan-incumbent-who-voted-to-impeach-trump-in-republican-congressional-primary_4636985.html\">Peter Meijer (R-Mich.)<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/fry-defeats-trump-targeted-rep-rice-in-south-carolina-congressional-race_4531299.html\">Tom Rice (R-S.C.)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI assume that with the very big Liz Cheney loss, far bigger<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former President Donald Trump suggested that the Jan. 6 committee should be dissolved, following the defeat of Rep.
